Well, this is where we are. Gotta get him in here and see what he's got. Because what we're are doing isn't working on that line.

4 seasons - 4 teams - 4 games played - what's not to love...

But he was good enough for the presumptive Super Bowl champions to keep around. The Chiefs are amazing and unbeatable so the fact that he was on their PS shouldn't mean anything. Andy Reid is the smartest coach in the NFL and if he likes him why not us

Steelers Sign G Danny Isidora Off Chiefs Practice Squad

By Dave Bryan
Posted on December 15, 2020

The Pittsburgh Steelers had a few offensive linemen get injured Sunday night in the team’s road loss to the Buffalo Bills and on Tuesday they went about replenishing their depth by signing a player off another team’s practice squad.

On Tuesday, the Steelers announced that they have signed offensive lineman Danny Isidora off the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad. Isidora has appeared in 25 NFL games to date after originally being selected in the fifth-round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Miami by the Minnesota Vikings

Isidora started three games for the Vikings in his first two seasons in the NFL. The Vikings then traded him to the Miami Dolphins in 2019. He started three games for the Dolphins that season before a foot injury resulted in him being placed on their Reserve/Injured list. The Dolphins cut ties with Isidora after this year’s training camp was completed.

So far this season, Isidora has played just a few snaps with the Chiefs as most of his time has been spent on their practice squad.

Isidora will now need to go through COVID-19 protocol so the Steelers will receive a roster exemption for him until he’s completed the process. Isidora is primarily a guard. The Steelers lost their starting left guard Matt Feiler for the next several weeks Sunday night to a pectoral injury. He was placed on the team’s Reserve/Injured list on Monday.

The team’s other primary guard, rookie Kevin Dotson, is currently battling through a shoulder injury he sustained against the Bills. The Steelers are hopeful that Dotson might be able to play Monday night against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Probably not good, but that's what you get after the trade deadline sifting through the trash.

I guess he's supposed to be more of a mauler than a finesse player. Maybe he can play with some mean streak if he has to play. But mean isn't a substitute for ability.

In otherwords....he has the knowledge of more systems than most ten year veteran all pros. :)

Give me some mauler on this finess line any day. :)

I'm trying to look for the silver lining.

If he can play, I agree that mauler is probably something we need.

I think the hope is we won't actually have to use him
he's insurance in case anyone else goes down to injury
good move to have someone getting ready in case
don't know how much better you could expect to acquire at this stage of the season

Lets hope Hawkins can play inside in a pinch. He has at least been in the system for a while.

I’ll give him a chance. Pessimism running wild on the board during our losing streak. OL sucks...any change may be good.

I think we'd feel better about the losses if the offense didn't look horrible. And it's not like the game against the Ravens was good either.

It's basically 3 games in a row where the O looks about the same as it did last year without our HoF QB.

That's kind of crappy. Especially after the first 11 games or so jacked up our expectations.

I agree that it's great to be where we are. There is no way that I thought we'd have the chance to have the division locked up this early.

Before the season, I thought we'd have a significant fight with CLE for 2nd in the division.

So I should be thrilled with where we are, right. Way above my expectations.

But my expectations changed after the first 11 games or so.

And I think we're going to be significantly worse off next season.

I’m not disagreeing with you. During these final 3 weeks, I just want to see some improvement and consistency. Can’t roll this current performance into the post season.
