Personally, I thought he was a bit better than Bince (not as good a blitzer, though). Guess we just have too much invested into VW to cut him loose?

This makes sense. Bostic was certainly serviceable, but he wasn't going to be among the top 3 ILBs. Gives him a chance to catch on elsewhere and avoids the risk of him getting injured in camp and the Steelers having to pay his salary.
