I know, heresy.

but he just finished his last year with the rats. He and Ben really like each other. Steelers need short term help on defense. someone used to being on a dominant defense would be good for attitude as well.

it would be the kind of short term, light money, low risk potential high reward colbert loves.

just sayin.........

No thanks. Why would you pay for someone else's part-time player?

He's almost finished. Let's get a younger, more productive player.

No.

But thanks for asking.

I'm not saying we should, or that I would.

I'm saying, it sounds like something right up colbert's alley - and it wouldn't surprise me.

I'd take Suggs and Mosely for the final few years of Ben's career, Suggs at 37 is probably the second best OLB on the Steelers team.

I read that Suggs played the 4th most snaps of any Raven defender, so I don't think he's a part timer.

I could see this being a positive move for the team if he plays cheap. But I think someone will pay him a little extra and give him some hope of winning a SuperBowl. Why not just stay in Baltimore. He's been there so long,

The problem with FAs now is we can't tell them to come to Pittsburgh for a chance to compete in a SuperBowl because we didn't even make the playoffs. We're now the type of team that will have to overpay for talent to get them here. And the guys we'll get might be in it for the money or just guys that no one else really wants.

If we don't keep Dupree, 2nd best OLB is a pretty low bar (not all that high if we keep him)

What I was saying is that he's better than Dupree but not Watt. I think Watt and Suggs would make a great OLB tandem.

As much as I like Suggs a player, he is a raven to he dies...

Plus who saw him in Ballers banging that girl doggy... that scene haunts me every time I see him or hear his name.

I will pass...

Suggs would sooner retire than put on a steelers jersey

That's what we said about Deebo, till he went to NE to nuzzle up to Brady's sac.

Maybe a change in scenery would energize him. Don't see him playing for us though. He's a legend in Baltimore. He doesn't want the Steelers ruining his legacy.

How about Mosley instead? I see he will be a FA. I always liked him coming out of college.

The Steelers could have had Mosley in 2014 but they drafted Shazier instead. Not sure in hindsight if Shazier was the better selection at ILB or not.

No question I'd rather have Shazier. It's just unfortunate he got hurt.

Shazier was Troyish, Mosley is lunch pail. Mosley was more polished, good at everything but not elite at anything either. He's been a pro bowler. He's a solid ILB. Shazier was just starting to grow into what he was about to become. And, I think it was a truly special disruptive player that other teams had to account for on every play.
