Because our DBs can’t even cover RBs.

Sean Davis couldnt cover leftovers with saran wrap.
Hilton was the best bet to stay with Kamara but Butler kept blitzing him.

Because the standard is the standard. We keep banging a square peg into a round hole.

Instead of getting Davis closer to the line they wanted to fool Brees thinking we had a deep safety.
You know how great a coverage we played when McCafferey slaughtered us out of the backfield?

I think the Steelers defense was often caught in unfavorable sub packages. Coaches are still trying to mask the gaps at ILB, safety, and CB. Love VWill's heart and passion but he just doesn't have the athleticism for a modern ILB. Good against the run, but if I am the opposing QB, I am checking to a pass when he is on the field. Fort is better, but not anything close to what they really need.

Somewhat feel bad for Haden, he may have jumped too soon from the Browns, as it seems their defense is on the rise while PIT can't seem to find all the pieces.

Its the same defensive scheme that called for TJ Watt to cover Sammy Watkins on a go route when we played the Chiefs. Lucky for us Mahommes overthrew him on that particular play.. maybe the only throw he missed all game.

Butlers love of blitzing DBs and putting backers in coverage has killed us all year long.
Cant wait for this fool to be gone

It certainly puts us in a bad spot when you've got T.J Watt covering Sammy Watkins lol

The standard IS the standard.

Because that must be the most logical way to defend every blade of grass.

And then to quickly recites all his blunders of the game before the press can initially ask him so he can say,” we are going to own those mistakes” and then everyone gives him a pass.
