Rogers activated, Gilbert to Injured ReserveThe Steelers announced on Saturday that they have activated wide receiver Eli Rogers to the team’s 53-man roster.
Rogers entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Steelers in 2016. He has appeared in 27 regular season games and started in 12 of them. Rogers’ career totals include 66 receptions for 743 yards and four touchdowns.
To make room on the 53-man roster, the Steelers placed offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert on the team’s Reserve/Injured List. Gilbert had missed the Steelers previous seven games due to a knee injury. The team had ruled him as “Out” for Sunday’s game versus the Patriots.
Gilbert played in five games in 2018.
Also on Saturday afternoon, the team downgraded the status of running back James Conner from questionable to doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Patriots.
