Promoted RB Trey Edmunds to the 53-man roster; signed LB Matthew Thomas to the practice squad; placed WR Justin Hunter on the Reserve/Injured List and released LB Farrington Huguenin.

Guess Washington won't be a healthy scratch the rest of the year.

Trey Edmunds - brother of Terrell. Undrafted FA with Saints last year. Had 9 carries.

Promoted RB Trey Edmunds to the 53-man roster

Wondering what comes out next WRT the RB position. No reason to promote a RB to the active roster unless you expect another to miss some time.

Wait...if Trey Edmunds is promoted from the practice squad, taking Justin Hunter's spot on the 53 man roster after Hunter is placed on I.R., and Matthew Thomas takes Trey Edmunds' place on the P.S., why did we need to release Farrington Huguenin from the P.S. as well?

Another rb can only mean Connors missing some time

:?:

No idea. Teams are allowed 10 and the Steelers currently have 10 (on Steelers.com) but 1 is the TE from England that's on an exemption list. Should be able to add 1 more.

Conner has been ruled out against Oakland per Tomlin.

I knew when I watched it live, It was an ankle sprain...Had dozens of them playing hoops...Your ankle twists/ turns sideways...That is called an ankle sprain, not a contusion

So we could sign this guy -- former Pats RB Ralph Webb.

Reading the profile... not overly impressed:

“Below average athlete who is unable to shake defenders or break tackles at an acceptable rate to create for himself in the NFL. Webb runs with tight hips and duck feet and doesn’t have NFL play speed. He’ll get into camp and work his tail off, but he may not have the play qualities necessary to overcome his physical deficiencies.”

Bet you he is smart. BB likes smart players and nothing else about him sounds like he is worthy of being there.

With a name like Ralph, probably. ;)

You don't hear of many elite athletes named Ralph these days.

There are likely more Ralphs per capita in the scientific community than in the football community, I'd imagine.
