Steelers add a tight end and a cornerback

The Steelers made a host of roster moves Wednesday.
Signed were tight end Jake Phillips and cornerback Kevin White. Phillips is an undrafted rookie out of UNLV who should get some reps in a shorthanded tight end corps. Projected starter Ladarius Green remains on the active/physically unable to perform list.
The addition of White was made because the Steelers lost cornerback Senquez Golson to a foot injury earlier this week, but Golson has not yet been placed on injured reserve. White spent some time last year as an undrafted rookie with the Falcons.
The Steelers waived-injured tight end Mandel Dixon and wide receiver Shakim Phillips. If they clear waivers, they’ll revert to the team’s injured reserve list.
The team also activated rookie defensive tackle Devaunte Sigler from the non-football injury list. Sigler passed his physical and was cleared for practice Wednesday.
