Steelers re-sign defensive end Clifton Geathers

Sixth year defensive end signed to a one-year contract.

The Steelers re-signed defensive end Clifton Geathers to a one-year contract, the team announced today. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Geathers signed with the Steelers on December 1, 2014, but was inactive for four regular-season games and the lone postseason contest.

The six-year pro has played in 37 games (one start) since entering the NFL as a sixth-round draft selection (186th overall) of Cleveland in 2010. He has spent time with Miami (2010), Dallas (2010-11), Indianapolis (2012), Philadelphia (2013) and Washington (2014).
