The Pittsburgh Steelers have partnered with Leadership League, a Pittsburgh-based company, to offer fans a fully chartered Steelers theme cruise in March, 2014. The cruise will depart from Tampa, Fla., on March 10, and sail to Nassau, Bahamas and the private island of Coco Cay before returning to Tampa, Fla. on March 15.

Nearly 20 current and alumni players from each decade of Steelers history are confirmed to take the trip with more being added each week. Tunch Ilkin and Craig Wolfley will serve as the cruise hosts with Steelers guests including Hines Ward, Franco Harris, Mel Blount, Andy Russell, Greg Lloyd, Willie Parker, Aaron Smith, Chris Hoke, Robin Cole, J.T. Steelers fans, players and coaches will sail on the Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas vessel enjoying custom Steelers programming including daily autograph sessions, Super Bowl Rewinds with live player interviews, "Sailgate" Parties, a Steelers Got Talent Show featuring a Hines Ward dance number and more. There will be exciting activities for Steelers fans of all ages on board. Kids will be entertained from morning to night with NFL Play 60 activities on the sports deck, kids-only press conferences with players, interactive games and competitions, not to mention the many fun activities offered onboard by Royal Caribbean for kids of all ages.

A portion of the proceeds from the cruise will benefit the Mel Blount Youth Home and other charities including Make-a-Wish and the Light of Life Mission, furthering Leadership League's company mission to "Do Good through Sport."

Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas will serve as the host the first ever Steelers Cruise offering 1100 staterooms, including interior cabins starting at $999 per person to spacious suites starting at $2799 per person with several categories in between. All packages include the all-you-can eat dining package and access to all public Steelers and Royal Caribbean events on board. Guests opting to purchase cabins in the MVP Class and Super Bowl Class will enjoy exclusive access including private VIP parties with players, dining with players, a "Fast Pass" for the autograph sessions and preferred seating for main events. Guests staying in the Chief Suites Class will stay on deck 10 with the players and enjoy access to the Steelers Crown Lounge and Concierge Lounge that are only open to guests staying on Deck 10.

Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas underwent a 30-million dollar renovation this month. Amenities onboard the Brilliance of the Seas include six pools and whirlpools, over 100 spa treatments, a sports deck including a walking track, mini golf, golf simulator, rock climbing wall and water slide. Central to the ship is a nine-story atrium with elevators facing the sea, enriching daytime activities, dazzling nightly entertainment and jaw-dropping aerial spectacles. Also on board the 962 feet long, 106 feet wide vessel, guests will enjoy 16 bars and lounges and eight specialty restaurants offering everything, from cupcakes to California rolls, finger foods to a five-course gourmet meals.

That's a good turnout of players. I always chuckle in the offseason in NC when they have Panther cruises with a bunch of nobodies.

If I could afford it, I'd be all over some Chief Suites where the players are staying.

Hmm i may just have to do this... or at the least rent out my spare bedroom for a ton of money to someone who needs a place to crash the night before it leaves!
