Rules are pretty simple. Give me one player from each of the playoff teams to give you fantasy points until that player's team is eliminated from the playoffs. We did something similar to this a few years back (I think stlrz_d ran it once upon a time), but I made a few tweaks (eliminating kickers and defense, for example). Anyone can join (i.e. you didn't have to be in one of our PlanetSteeler fantasy leagues to be eligible). Here goes:

One AFC QB, Two AFC RB's, Two AFC WR's, and One AFC TE.

One NFC QB, Two NFC RB's, Two NFC WR's, and One NFC TE.

This is not a typical fantasy league where only one guy has Adrian Peterson...everyone can choose Peterson on their team if they want to. I can pick Peterson and Lynch, but someone else may prefer Peterson and Gore, or Lynch and Morris, and so on...everyone has the full slate of playoff eligible QB's, RB's, WR's, and TE's to choose from.

You'll get 1 point for every 10 yards rushing or receiving. 1 point for every 25 yards passing. 6 points for all TD's (passing, rushing, receiving, or returning...if, say, your RB or WR also happens to return kicks or punts...no points for return yardage, though...not getting that complicated here). 2 points for all 2 point conversions (passing, rushing, receiving). You lose 2 points if for all interceptions and lost fumbles. Fractional points count.

You must choose your full team before the first playoff game kicks off Saturday afternoon. No changes can be made after that point. You are stuck with those players for the rest of the playoffs. I will tally scores after each weekend to determine who is leading, but an overall winner will not be determined until after the Super Bowl is over.

I'll give you my team as an example:

AFCQB: Peyton Manning (DEN)
AFCRB: Arian Foster (HOU)
AFCRB: Ray Rice (BAL)
AFCWR: A.J. Green (CIN)
AFCWR: Reggie Wayne (IND)
AFCTE: Rob Gronkowski (NE)

NFCQB: Aaron Rodgers (GB)
NFCRB: Adrian Peterson (MIN)
NFCRB: Marshawn Lynch (SEA)
NFCWR: Julio Jones (ATL)
NFCWR: Pierre Garcon (WAS)
NFCTE: Vernon Davis (SF)

This weekend, I get no points from Peyton, Gronk, Julio, and Vernon, since they are all on byes. I will have 8 active players (2 in each game). And then the players from my losing teams get eliminated. In the divisional round, I will have my remaining 8 players all active (2 in each game). Then four more guys get eliminated when their teams lose. I'll have 4 active players during conference championship weekend (2 in each game), and then finally 2 active players in the Super Bowl (1 for each team).

Post your teams here before gametime on Saturday. Get in the game! If you want to keep your team hidden from few until everyone submits, then you may PM me your team instead if you wish (I will reveal any PMed teams after the playoffs start on Saturday). Good luck!

I had done something similar, but then realized we had to pick one player from each of the 12 teams

D Rock's right flip...you can have one and only one player from each playoff team. 12 playoff teams...12 players on your fantasy playoff squad (1 player from each team).

That team looks familiar, Pap. Does this mean that I have to share the title with you when I win?

Don't worry about that, I took care of that technicality already for you guys.

D Rock's right flip...you can have one and only one player from each playoff team. 12 playoff teams...12 players on your fantasy playoff squad (1 player from each team).

Done. I think a lot of picks are gonna end up looking similar. Everyone's gonna be a lot closer by forcing 1 from every team. It actually took longer to think through picking anyone because you have to consider how many games each guy could end up playing most likely.

In retrospect, I wish I caught this earlier. Your rules made it a breeze.

I agree. There was a lot more strategy in it when I was considering how many games I might get out of each group of guys rather than knowing how many players I would have each week. I like it our way better.

Okay...four teams in the running, D Rock, Pappy, Flippy, and myself.

On our teams, we all picked Arian Foster, Ray Rice, A.J. Green, and Adrian Peterson, so their performances all cancelled out, since it was the exact same for everyone. Therefore, it ended up coming down to 4 players for each team instead of 8 this week, if you really think about it. I'll calculate the points for those 4 guys, even though it is not necessary. Peterson and Green's teams were eliminated, though, so we won't have those 2 guys in common going forward (but everyone's AFC RB's will be exactly the same again next weekend).

In the CIN v. HOU game:

A.J. Green had 5 catches for 80 yards and 0 TD. He scored 8 points.

Arian Foster had 32 carries for 140 yards and 1 TD, plus 8 catches for 34 more yards. He scored 23.4 points.

In the MIN v. GB game:

Adrian Peterson had 22 carries for 99 yards and 1 TD, plus 1 catch for 8 more yards. He scored 10.7 points.

Aaron Rodgers was 23 for 33 for 274 yards, 1 TD, and 0 INT. He also had 2 rushes for 12 yards. He scored 18.16 points.

Greg Jennings had 4 catches for 61 yards and 0 TD. He scored 6.1 points.

In the IND v. BAL game:

Andrew Luck was 28 for 54 for 288 yards, 0 TD, and 1 INT. He also had 4 carries for 35 yards and lost a fumble. He scored 11.02 points.

Reggie Wayne had 9 catches for 114 yards and 0 TD. He scored 11.4 points.

T.Y. Hilton had 8 catches for 66 yards and 0 TD. He scored 6.6 points.

Ray Rice had 15 carries for 70 yards and 0 TD, plus 1 catch for 47 more yards. He lost 2 fumbles. He scored 7.7 points.

In the SEA v. WAS game:

Marshawn Lynch had 20 carries for 132 yards and 1 TD, plus 1 catch for 9 more yards. He lost a fumble. He scored 18.1 points.

Sidney Rice had 1 catch for 27 yards and 0 TD. He scored 2.7 points.

Robert Griffin III was 10 for 19 for 84 yards, 2 TD, and 1 INT. He also had 5 carries for 21 yards and lost a fumble. He scored 13.46 points.

Alfred Morris had 16 carries for 80 yards and 0 TD. He scored 8 points.

Pierre Garcon had 4 catches for 50 yards and 0 TD. He scored 5 points.

After one week, here are the standings:

1. RuthlessBurgher 102.46

A. Foster 23.4
R. Rice 7.7

R. Wayne 11.4

Not a ton of fantasy points to go around this weekend. The only heavy hitter we all missed was John Kuhn and his 2 TDs. Can't think of any other misses.

Sorry for the delay...I compiled the scores early in the week, but then got busy (my wife is in Texas on business, so I've had 2 kids to myself this week) and never posted the scores. Here they are, though.

In the HOU v. NE game:

Arian Foster had 22 carries for 90 yards and 1 TD, plus 7 catches for 63 more yards and another TD. He scored 27.3 points.

Tom Brady was 25 for 40 for 344 yards, 3 TD, and 0 INT. He also had 1 carry for -1 yard. He scored 31.66 points.

Rob Gronkowski broke his arm again. He sits in the goose egg lounge (where he is probably dancing without a shirt, but I digress).

In the GB v. SF game:

Aaron Rodgers was 26 for 39 for 257 yards, 2 TD, and 1 INT. He also had 3 rushes for 28 yards. He scored 23.08 points.

Greg Jennings had 6 catches for 54 yards and 1 TD. He scored 11.4 points.

Vernon Davis had 1 catch for 44 yards and 0 TD. He scored 4.4 points.

Michael Crabtree had 9 catches for 119 yards and 2 TD. He scored 23.9 points.

In the BAL v. DEN game:

Ray Rice had 30 carries for 131 yards and 1 TD. He scored 19.1 points.

Peyton Manning was 28 for 43 for 290 yards, 3 TD, and 2 INT. He also had 1 carry for -1 yard and lost a fumble. He scored 23.5 points.

Jacob Tamme had 3 catches for 44 yards and 0 TD. He scored 4.4 points.

Demaryius Thomas had 3 catches for 37 yards and 1 TD. He scored 9.7 points.

In the SEA v. ATL game:

Marshawn Lynch had 16 carries for 46 yards and 1 TD, plus 3 catches for 37 more yards. He lost a fumble. He scored 12.3 points.

Sidney Rice had 4 catches for 60 yards and 0 TD. He scored 6 points.

Julio Jones had 6 catches for 59 yards and 0 TD, plus 1 carry for -1 yard. Unfortuntely, he doesn't get credit for the interception he got on the last play of the game. He scored 5.8 points.

Roddy White had 5 catches for 76 yards and 1 TD. He scored 13.6 points.

Tony Gonzalez had 6 catches for 51 yards and 1 TD. He scored 11.1 points.

Here are the week two totals:

1. Pappy 121.74

A. Foster 27.3
R. Rice 19.1
T. Brady 31.66
J. Tamme 4.4

A. Rodgers 23.08
S. Rice 6
J. Jones 5.8
V. Davis 4.4

2. D Rock 120.18

A. Foster 27.3
R. Rice 19.1
D. Thomas 9.7
R. Gronkowski 0

A. Rodgers 23.08
S. Rice 6
M. Crabtree 23.9
T. Gonzalez 11.1

3. RuthlessBurgher 115.48

A. Foster 27.3
R. Rice 19.1
P. Manning 23.5
R. Gronkowski 0

A. Rodgers 23.08
M. Lynch 12.3
J. Jones 5.8
V. Davis 4.4

4. Flippy 111.6

A. Foster 27.3
R. Rice 19.1
P. Manning 23.5
R. Gronkowski 0

M. Lynch 12.3
G. Jennings 11.4
R. White 13.6
V. Davis 4.4

After two weekends of playoff football, here are the totals:

1. Ruthless 217.94
2. Pappy 211.8
3. D Rock 209.86
4. Flippy 205.66

Eight games down and only 3 to go.

In the AFC, Pappy has the decided edge, since he has Tom Brady going while the rest of us are guaranteed another Gronk goose egg. Everyone has Ray Rice, so he gets cancelled out.

In the NFC, everyone has Vernon Davis except for D Rock, but his Michael Crabtree is currently being investigated for sexual assault. For Atlanta, Pappy and I have Julio, Flippy has Roddy, and D Rock has Gonzo.
