Yeah but I think Austin's lack of size and the fact that Bailey scored 25 TD's....that's just unreal. And I know Bailey isnt that much bigger but again...25 TD's. I dont want either one of them though. I want one of the bigger WR's...Terrance Williams, DeAndre Hopkins, Robert Woods, etc. That too me would be a better compliment to what the Steelers currently have.

There is a good chance Austin goes in the second round as well.

Wasn't there a WR from Louisiana Tech who scored like 27 TDs or something one year?

I think Austin scored like 7 TDs in the Orange Bowl against Clemson last year, or maybe 6, I can't remember exactly. Anyways, yeah, we need a big target for sure. Austin would make a better version of what they wanted out of Rainey this past season, he's faster and has incredible balance and vision.

Yes indeed. And he actually had a decent rookie year with 61 receptions. But Pittsburgh (fans), expected more out of him (being a first round pick-13th overall), and made their displeasure known quit often.

I don't know if the Steelers would pick a WR that early in the draft under the circumstances we have. A bigger need might be a TE, we don't know how long it will take for Miller to recover and he's getting up there.

TE will be a bigger need earlier in the draft.

A lot depends on what happens with Wallace. If he returns, then WR is not a huge need. If he does not return, WR becomes a major need.

Wallace returning isn't a topic we need to spend more than one sentence on because it won't happen. It will be much more meaningful to discuss who joins Brown, Sanders, Cotchery and Burress. I think they try to keep Burress and get him at a vet minimum salary. Although not a fan he did perform in limited opportunities.

Personally, I would be looking at adding a TE near the top of our draft. We have seen that with Haley this position is a real weapon.

I would love to have another TE as a weapon to compliment Heath, but without Wallace, the Steelers need to add another WR. Sanders demonstrated that he is not a starting caliber player, and neither are Burress and Cotchery at this point. Whether early in the draft or through free agency, the Steelers will need to address WR if Wallace leaves. Adding both a WR and TE early leaves little room to add youth to the defense.

we have one of the top guys in the league at that position (yes, i know he'll be rehabbing)

who do we have like that at the WR position?

I agree with you phillyesq. When Wallace leaves the Steelers, and he will leave, this is going to be a much bigger need than a back up TE. I dont think the Steelers are going to rely on two players (Cotchery and Burress), who caught a total off 20 receptions the past year.

In the second round you would be foolish to pick a back up TE when a good one could be had in later rounds. See my signature. 6 ft 7 TE who caught 11 TD's for UCLA in a run dominate offense.

Agreed with this too. Good point NJ.
