"Said Steelers QB (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/652/steelers-qb) Byron Leftwich (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/1478/byron-leftwich), Im a D.C. kid, an inner city kid, and I grew up throwing rocks and anything else I could throw. I throw the way I throw (http://triblive.com/sports/steelers/2950874-85/throw-steelers-leftwich-game-delivery-differently-eli-identity-kid-names#axzz2CZuO4Oma). Yeah, Ive got a long windup. We all do things differently, but the key is, can we get out there and get the job done? I can still play a little bit.

I like it! Under spoken, but confident.

I hope for Leftwich's sake he has a good game so that he can prove all the naysayers wrong.

Here are some things you might not know about his game:

Early in his career, Leftwich excelled at the long ball, passes > 20yds. However, toward the end of his regular playing days Leftwich was over 100 in QB rating for passes < 20 yds. He was also a money QB when it was 3rd down and <10yds. Sure, he isn't Ben Roethlisberger, but he should be able to do enough to win games while Ben is out.

Don't sell Leftwich short just yet.

The team's gotta rally around him. If he makes a few mistakes so be it.
The Defense has got to step up and the Offense needs to rally around him. If we can take 1 out of 2 vs. the Ratbirds we will be very fortunate. But winning this one at home would be huge

I believe in Lefty and I think it's foolish to rule the Steelers out because he's behind center tonight.
