For those of you new to the game, here is the concept.Year in and year out my buddies and I would plan on getting a Pizza and watching Monday Night Football, sadly many of these games were real yawners. I figured anybody with common NFL sense should be able to schedule better games than what I was watching and so - Monday Night Football Executive was created, to test my theory that NFL fans could pick the closest, or most interesting games week in and week out.

I realize that NBC and ESPN have a few other things to consider when choosing their games, but in reality people across the country either want to watch their team or the best game of the week, so no excuses. If that weren't the reality NBC wouldn't use Flex scheduling.

What's at stake you ask - Bragging rights and an entry into the Hall of Champions - it's yours uncontested.

However to play for bragging rights your schedule needs to be PM'ed to me or added to this thread no later than

Wednesday Sept 5th by 8:30 pm EST.

Anyone is welcome to join after the deadline – however if you join after the deadline you will be ineligible to enter the Hall of Champions even if they win. Also all schedules will on display once the season begins, even if you’ve emailed them to me privately - to make sure the game is fair.

As you will see there have been some minor changes and alterations made. We’ve had some really great crews in the past few seasons and I'm looking forward to seeing who is this season's MNF Executive. If you have any questions please post them and I (or one of the trusty Vets) will do my best to address them.

Monday Night Football Executive 2012

Pfelix 73 - 2012

The Players:

How to Play:

Pick 1 game per week, for the 17 week NFL Season. In general the better the two teams are (record wise), and the closer and more exciting the game is (i.e. nailbiter) the more points you'll score.

It's that simple....and that difficult. Please feel free to post questions --- it really is a very simple game...despite the long list of rules.

The Rookie and Special Bonuses need to be included as apart of your 17 week schedule, however you are NOT required to use / “go for” any of these bonuses – and you also are NOT required to “Call your shot”. These Bonuses are added primarily to entice MNF Execs. to use teams that they might not include otherwise (like the Colts or Jacksonville this season).

Below is a link to the full 17 week NFL schedule.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/schedule

Below is the Scoring table that will be used:

Every Game
35 points - If the game is decided by less than 3 points
25 points - If the game is decided by 3 points.
15 points - If the game is decided by 7 points or less.

(Example: If the score is 36-33 you only receive 25 points, not the 25 and the 15)

20 points - A game winning FG is attempted with less than30 seconds left in the game
An additional 5 points - if the winning FG is 45 yards orbeyond and the kicking team makes it.

35 points - If a team wins the game with a TD, with 1minute (or less) in Regulation.
15 points - For all overtime games
35 points - If a team, previously down by 17 points ormore at any point in the game, wins.

5 points - If any one player scores 3 TD's in the game.
15 points - If any one player scores 4 TD's in the game.
25 points - If any one player scores 5 TD's in the game.

10 points – 10 points for every Punt Return or K.O. return TD.

15 points - If any defensive player gets 2 Int's, 2 Forced Fumbles, or 1 of each. 5 additional points for every Forced Fumble or Interception beyond that. However only 1 player can qualify for each defense in your game, and the higher scoring player will count.

(Example: if James Harrison has three forced fumbles, and Troy Polamalu has 2 Int’s – the points would only be 20 points for Harrison – NOT 20 points for Harrison and an additional 15 points for Polamalu).

Record Bonus - FromWeek 5 and Beyond

10 points - if both teams have a record that is .500 or above.
15 points - if both teams have a record that is .500 or above in the same division
25 points - if both teams have a record that is .600 or above
30 points - if both teams have a record that is .600 or above in the same division.

Playoff Points

3 points - For every team you include in your schedule that goes to the playoffs
9 points - For every week your schedule involved two teams that eventually go to the playoffs.

Week 17 Rule

55 points / 110 points - In Week 17 if you guess the game that involves a team that only needs to win that game (and receive no other help from another team during that week) you receive 55 points. If that game involves two teams that only need to win to get a playoff spot the score is doubled. There can be no other factors involved to receive the points for this game, i.e. a team cannot need another team to lose that week to make it in. You do not receive additional bonus “record” points for this game.

(Example if two 8-8 teams meet in Week 17, and both teams need to win to get in – you receive only 110 points, NOT the 110 plus the record bonus of either 10/15 points)

The New Rookie Watch --- Grudge Match Style!

This bonus is intended to ONLY go to the FIRST rookie who accomplishes their task. (Example if Kendall Wright accomplishes his goal in Week 5, and Blackmon accomplishes his task in Week 7 --- only the MNF Execs. with the Week 5 Wright game receives the bonus).

*** However if both rookies accomplish their task in the same week – both games they are playing in receive the bonus!

25 points - If you choose the first game that Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin scores 3 Total TD’s – passing and/or rushing.

25 points - If you choose the first game that either Justin Blackmon (Jacksonville) or Kendall Wright (Tenn.) scores a TD.

25 points - If you choose the first game Trent Richardson or David Wilson (Giants) scores a TD on a 15 yard run or more.

Special Bonus!

Week 12 – I’m giving an additional 10 points to the Raiders@ Bengals game provided Carson Palmer starts the game.

25 points – Todd Haley bonus - If you choose the first game that the Steelers Offense scores more than 28 points, can only be Offensive Scoring (i.e.No Punt/Kick Off or Defensive TD’s).

25 points – if you choose the first game Chris Rainey(Steelers) scores a TD.

Odds and ends - rules in case of emergency.

If there is a tie at the end of the regular season betweentwo or more players - the playoff points are extended until it breaks the tie.In other words - playoff points will be counted, again, for the Second Round, Championship Game, and Super Bowl until the tie is broken.

If you make a mistake on your schedule and it isn't realized until the week of the game - I will take the first team you write in -(i.e. if it's Seattle vs. Arizona, and it was supposed to be St. Louis vs Arizona - you're stuck with the Seattle game whomever they're playing - unless it's a bye week for Seattle, and then I’ll use the Arizona game).

NBC and ESPN will be awarded the best of their first two games towards a Week 5 and beyond scoring. The reason for this is that they are short 1 game on their schedule towards this scoring system.

NBC will not receive the aid of their Flex Scheduling. The Schedule they have listed is the one they’re going to get!

Scores will be posted every Tuesday along with commentary.

Monday Night Executive is a copyrighted game.

Good Luck.

Well considering I got my rear kicked in fantasy this week and it wasn't even close...... I'm thrilled to report I got this week's game right with the Vikes/Jags. Only thing that could have made it a bit sweeter was if Blackmon would have gotton a TD to get the bonus. This may be the only week I get it right, but after my fantasy debacle and Steeler loss I take great pride in knowing I got something right, lol!

Usually when it's a tie score at the top of the board....I put a former champion at the top of the list. After all it should be apart of being in the Hall of Champions - you've proven you can "win" at all, why shouldn't you be showcased as a favorite when in a tie?? However since Steelgal actually kind of "called her shot" and informed all of us we'd be looking at her backside for most of the season....I felt I had to put ladies first!! (That and, after discovering she was tied for the lead -- I've had the chorus "My Milkshake brings all the boys to the yard....and they're like...it's better than yours...damn right it's better than yours"......in my head, but I digress).

5 Execs. and ESPN decided to stay in the Goose Egg lounge this week.....of course Flippy usually likes to wait a few weeks before getting serious, so this is no surprise for him.

Looking ahead Iron Shiek will attempt to land a rookie bonus, after missing out last week. I for one appreciate his (and MeetJoeGreene's) slight gamble by going for bigger (and maybe riskier points). Steelgal is hoping to catapult into a bigger lead with the competing QB Rookie Bonus in her game....we'll see if these Execs. played it right?

All Special Bonuses and Rookie Bonuses are still available.....and here's to a great new season of MNF Exec.

This is the game where those that start quick are usually the ones to finish quick.

And on the flip side those that start slow often finish slow.

The only logic to this game is that there is none.

And MJG will eventually talk smack :)

At the end of last week I applauded MeetJoeGreene and the Iron Shiek for taking a flyer out on the RGIII game in hopes that he would take the Rookie QB Bonus...and he did just that in a 1 point game --- taking MJG and the Iron Shiek to the top of the board with a week high score of 70!!

Sadly no one wanted to get "Lucky" with Leader Steelgal as she also went for the QB Rookie Bonus --- which as Luck wouldn't have it, she didn't receive, however her three point Vikings v. Colts game was strong enough to keep her in the lead with a strong 50 point showing.

Another Rookie Bonus that we can take off the board is Trent Richardson's Running Back Bonus that he gained in the Battle of Ohio. Fordfixer was the only Exec. on the Browns v. Bengals game and put himself squarely in second place with a 55 point bump in Week 2.

Sadly no one had the third and final Rookie Bonus - the WR bonus as Kendall Wright picked up a TD this past week

One final bonus almost came off the board as the Steelers offense successfully scored 27 points.....just one shy of the Todd Haley Bonus....meaning those unfortunate Jets v. Steelers Execs. were only one point short of not visiting the Goose Egg Lounge.

Speaking of the Goose Egg Lounge - I suspect Flippy is prepping for "his" season starter in Week 4....as usual!

Going into Week three all Rookie Bonuses are finished....however the Chris Rainey and Todd Haley "Steeler" Bonuses still remain alive.....which means a possible 50 point bonus if the game falls just right.....and I'm sure the Iron Shiek is hoping for just that!

Good Luck this week - your leader is in RED

Unless, of course, you are talking about Steelgal, who Chadman notes refused to go....ahem...down the leaderboard & give anyone else a go. What was MJG thinking? Everyone knows that the people coming equal 3rd after 2 weeks finish last.

Do you need me to spot you some points Chadman :p

Unfortunately, this is probably my last week atop of the leader board. I chose the Bengals/Redskins game hoping the RG III bonus would still be there and it's not...... Oh well, atleast I can say, no matter how far I fall, that I did have the lead for a bit.

It'd be cool to have a deviled goose egg. I think goose eggs are like 4-5x the size of a regular chicken egg. So deviled would look cool. It'd be like getting one of those giant Hersey kisses.

How big of a pot would you need to boil a dozen goose eggs? It would probably be a premium food because you'd have to cook 1 at a time or something.

We've been in the Goose Egg lounge so long, we'd have plenty of time to wait on the preparation.

Noooooo...... Chadman is saying that the game sucks because it is seriously flawed. It's obvious, because such NFL Yoda's as Flippy &...well...Chadman...are struggling while NFL JarJar Binks' like MJG are ahead of them.

A simple look at the table will show how flawed this game is.

Where is the reward for the uninteresting blowout? THAT should be the challenge- pick the game that will likely cause viewers to fall into a state of catatonic slumber. If THAT was the challenge, not only would most NFL viewers be better rested, they wouldn't suffer through the tedious NFL Replacement Ref Rulings- or the Triple R's as they'll be henceforth known as.

Not only that- it would place the "big brains" crew (who obviously are smarter & cooler because they are all gathered in the lounge), ahead of the "Neanderthalic Numbnutz" crew who are knuckle-dragging their way through to the upper reaches of the board on the basis of prettier coloured jerseys. Don't deny it Neclams- we know that's how you pick em.

The ONLY good thing about this game is that from where Flippy & Chadman are, we get a great view of Steelgal... just sayin. ;)

Iron Shiek was the lone Exec. to drop a week (and yearly) high of 105 points with a tough Steeler v. Oakland game that in addition to a number of in game points landed him the Todd Haley Bonus ---- which puts the Shiek at the top of the standings!! And gives the rest of us a new Leader!

Steel Gal dropped a few spots backwards --- but finds herself in solid company with former and defending Champions Ghost and NeClams....it's still early in the season, and the one thing we've learned about MNF Exec. is being in the lead early can often serve as prelude to a soul crushing free fall.

Fordfixer and the Power of Positive Mojo MeetJoeGreene are stalking the leader and will look to gain ground this week -- as all three Execs. have games all to themselves which could provide a big jump in points......or a visit to this weekend's empty Goose Egg Lounge --- after being empty for a week you just know the Goose is "hungry" for MNF Exec. misery!

Most Execs. find themselves sitting on the very curious (0-3) Saints vs. (1-2) Packers.....(I'll say it I'm worried!)

With the exception of the Chris Rainey Bonus (who is on his bye week), all the bonuses are off the board -- however starting in Week 5 we'll begin getting Record Bonuses and we'll find out who knew the Cardinals would be 3-0 and the Patriots (and Steelers) would be 1-2

Good Luck this week - your leader is in RED

Special props to Iron Sheik... I would have never thought Steelers vs. Oakland could score that high..high risk, high reward and it paid off big time!

I am REALLY beginning to get nervous at chadman and flippy - I think they are toying with us. Really, really toying with us. And getting reading to pounce. In for the kill. Have mercy on us you brilliant strategists of the MNF Exec world!

I bided my time for 2 weeks in the Goose Egg Lounge with 2 straight bagels, giving the rest of you a reasonable head start, but I decided to finally start playing...now I've doubled up flippy and am half way to MJG. Shieky's our leader due to a 105 point week...without that, he'd only be 5 points ahead of me (the ever popular "If you take away Willie Parker's 75 yard run, then he only had..." argument).

For the second straight week - the Shiek has been the FREAK --- as he puts up the weekly high score of 65 points on the board and does it completely on his own!

The week was filled with solid choices by many MNF Execs. as four games provided the highly coveted 2 point games (and the even more highly coveted 35 points that goes with those games!)

Fordfixer, (the always competitive) Ghost, and former leader Steelgal remain in striking distance of the lone Shiek --- however neither Ghost or Steelgal will be able to make up any ground this week on the leader as they all share the same game -- which might not be a bad thing considering how much Sand the Shiek has been kicking up!

Fordfixer may be able to make up some ground on the leader -- however he'll have to do it without any advanced bonus points -- of course those of us on this game are hoping that Chris Rainey will score a TD in the last minute of the game to win it by 1 point.....(actually I'd be very happy with just a Steelers win!)

A number of Execs will enjoy the first round of record bonuses this week --- and that's at least a guarentee that you won't be visiting the Goose Egg Bar & Grill!!

Good Luck this week - your leader is in RED

Papillion, Ruthlessburgher, Lonbull, Fordfixer, and Pfelix73 enjoyed a Steelers victory AND the weekly high score of 55 points with a last second game winning FG to put the Steelers up by 2 points -- and a number of us back into contention.

Fordfixer works himself a little closer to the leader (Iron Shiek), but may have trouble advancing this week as he has picked the solo choice of Jets v Indy while Iron Shiek ( and the bulk of the Execs) enjoys a 25 point bonus at kick-off with the 49ers v. Giants NFC Championship Rematch.

Looking ahead to next week -- our "average" Jooser sits alone with a 10 point Record Bonus and with a little luck could take the weekly high score all to himself.

Also going solo with a game is the former Champion and the always dangerous Ghost who could put together a close Steelers victory and maybe the last bonus (Rainey bonus) this Thursday to climb even close to the lead??

The Teacher looks to become the Student this week as SNON5150 (and his 25 point bonus at kickoff) could break the tie with his father Neclams --- could be a rough week at the Clams House if the Son takes the High Score and the Champ is in the Goose Egg Lounge?!?

With a 55 point lead in front of former leader (and crowd favorite) Steel Gal -- the Iron Shiek is simply dominating the board right now.....ah but the season is still young and you never know who's building momentum in this game???

It could be Average Jooser --- who took the weekly high score of 65 points in his Dallas v. Baltimore double melt down! I've seen plenty of seasons where the guy in last place gets his day in the sun at the top of the board.....in fact former Champion Flippy has done just that once before and could be looking to repeat his last minute heroics again this year. This cruel game can turn so quickly.

Fordfixer took a bit of hit last week as he slipped from second place to sixth place with only 5 points to show for his Indy v. Jets game. (Luckily for Fordfixer -- Ghost caught one of my scoring mistakes and kept the Fordfixer out of the Goose Egg Lounge....as always, thanks to Ghost for a second set of eyes on these scores --- and now if he would just stop beating me in my own game every year, we could actually, you know, maybe be friends...)

Looking ahead Pfelix73 goes into Week 7 (along with three other Execs) with a 25 point bonus at kick-off! Pfelix73 has a long way to go to take the top spot, but if Iron Shiek falters with his Pitt v. Bengals game.....the lead could get very tight.

Of course Iron Shiek could be at the right place at the right time if Chris Rainey finishes off the only "player" bonus left?

Another player who could be looking at a big fall off is Ghost who picks an unusual game for this deep in the season....however Ghost has pulled out miracles before where no other Exec. saw them possible --- will it be a rare trip to the Goose Egg Lounge (if you go ask for my table they have it ready for me every week).

Could be a shake up....it could be the leader extending his distance....we'll find out by the end of next Monday.....

The best game of the week here on MNF Exec. was the game I assume most of us made sure to watch from start to finish --- enjoying Chris Rainey's first Touchdown and a (closer than we really wanted) 7 point win over the Bengals -- the Pitt v. Bengals game provided the weekly high score of 40 points -- and ended all of the "extra" bonuses available!

The Iron Shiek continues to dominate the board with a 65 point lead over the newest Exec. to climb into second place ---- yours truly Lonbull!!! For those of you who can't remember or who have never witness how much I've truly sucked at my own game ..... I assure you this place high on the mountaintop will likely be short lived and since the Goose Egg Lounge hasn't been fed in awhile --- fear runs deep in my mid-season rise!

Of course Fordfixer isn't far behind and the top three Execs. all have different games this week -- I will say I'm impressed that the Iron Shiek saw something in this Seattle team that told him they might have a solid record right now...and I think most of us thought the Lions would have a better record as well, however he gets no bonus points going into this week.

This week we have 10 different games being played so the board could see quite a jumble -- we'll see how it all plays out at the end of Monday Night....

Like the Crimson Tide -- the Iron Shiek continues to just ROLL!! Once again the Shiek pulls down the weekly top score, does it all on his own, and does it without any bonus points at kickoff......the man is just shy of having a 100 point lead over his nearest rivals and even though we're only at the mid-way point you have to wonder if anyone has the schedule to catch up to the Shiek?!?

Sadly for those of us who had the Dallas v. Giants game -- this non-catch:

http://larrybrownsports.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/dez-bryant-finger-530x395.jpg

Cost us possibly 70 more points!!!! I'm not saying someone needs to "Ronnie Lott" this WR....but I might be thinking it! Moving on -- PFelix73 has found some momentum and has placed himself in the top 4. TheIggy and Papillion also enjoyed modest 30/35 point games and have moved slightly up the board. But let's face it folks at this pace -- the Iron Shiek would need to have a melt down, and right now he is RED HOT!

Looking ahead former Champion Ghost won't be able to make up any ground on Iron Shiek this week....but he's got to feel good about sharing the game with the leader.

Four Execs. have 10 point bonuses at kickoff including PFelix73 who could be looking to make a move on Lonbull and Steelgal. For many of us -- we have our hopes attached to the Eagles, Saints and Cowboys....and if these teams perform like they have for most of the season it could be heartbreak city here on Tuesday Morning.

I never thought we'd be heading into Week 10 and I'd look at the leaderboard and not see any of the former champions in the top 10?? Say it ain't so gents! Say it ain't so?!?

Flippy may have a reasonable excuse as he usually enjoys spotting the rest of us a hundred or so points before he makes a last minute mad dash! However both Ghost and Neclams spent the week in the Goose Egg lounge --- and maybe they serve a special champions buffet there....(for as often as I've been to the lounge - I wouldn't know!!) -- the former champs may have been talking to Iron Shiek who also spent an uncharacteristic week there and gave the rest of us a shot at catching up.

Must have been an especially rough week for NeClams as he spent the week in the Goose Egg Lounge and then watched his kid sail past him on the leaderboard!

The weekly high score was earned by Fordfixer as his Chicago v. Tennessee game offered up a number of points brought to you by one of the most exciting defensive teams in the league....in fact I'm beginning to wonder if their defense hasn't scored more points than their offense??

Speaking of Chicago -- out of 9 games that our MNF Execs have picked for this week only the Chicago v. Houston game and the Detroit v. Minn game are offering up any bonus points -- the rest of us are just going to have to hope for the best!

Normally one or two teams are "schedule killers" and this year Dallas, Philly and New Orleans have just been headaches to their MNF Execs....this week sadly is no different!

This is a weird year. Only Philly/Dallas looked like the 100% safe pick of the week. NO/Atlanta looked like the next best pick with a little risk around NO. My 3rd choice would have been Chicago/Houston but even that was a little bit of a long shot.

Could this be the year of the SUIT!?!? NBC not only has a 30 point bonus with their Sunday Night Match-up, but the Suits at NBC (along with Ruthlessburgher) enjoyed the weekly high score of 70 points with their sloppy Chicago v. Houston match-up.

NBC has climbed into a three way tie with PFelix73 (who is also picking up momentum) and Lonbull (who, looks to be losing steam).

Iron Shiek (along with 4 other Execs.) will have to hope that their bonus-less game provides an exciting, close scoring game to keep pace with the new bad*ss Peacock......

The Week's high score (65 points) went to all of the MNF Execs. who wisely took the "old stand-by" of a Steelers v. Raven divisional battle. In what has to be a troubling trend for the leader Iron Shiek he was not the Exec. with a weekly high score and he watched a number of Execs. advance on his once dominant lead!!

With only a 20 point lead on two contenders immediately behind him --- you have to wonder if this Shiek can handle the heat?!?

Iron Shiek and NBC will share the same game this week and it comes with a solid 25 point bonus at kickoff....so this guy:

http://www.cinawesome.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Cris-Collinsworthx-large.jpg

Thankfully won't find his NBC self in first place next week......uggghhhhhh......PFelix73 who has surged to a second place tie with NBC is hoping he alone will take Week 12's high score and maybe overtake the lead as well --- however his game has no bonus points, and he'll have his work cut out for him.

TheIggy will enjoy the best bonus coming into week 12 and could certainly propel himself up the leaderboard with a big game in the Tampa v. Atlanta match-up. Atlanta has been playing some close ball games this week and TheIggy should feel confident that he'll be receiving a (pirate) boat load o' points!

Of course Fordfixer, Ruthlessburgher and yours truly (Lonbull) decided to play it safe and just take the 10 bonus points as Carson Palmer returns to the Natti -- and we're also hoping for a nailbiter to help us catch up to the top of the board.

So this is what average feels like, eh?

Nice view from atop the Bell curve.

Newcomer to the Board and to MNF Exec. TheIggy enjoys the week's highest score with a very solid 65 point divisional showdown, and 1 point game, Atlanta v. Tampa Bay - which give the rookie some momentum and places him squarely in 5th place.

Pfelix 73 gains an additional 10 points on leader Iron Shiek and in the meantime seperates himself from NBC. Pfelix73 will also gain an additional 5 points at kickoff as he has a 15 point bonus in the dreaded Pittsburgh v. Baltimore game....however knowing Pfelix I'm sure he'd be happy to sacrifice MNF Exec. points for a Steelers blowout over the Ravens.....well one can wish.

Iron Shiek is certainly hoping that his Seattle v. Chicago game (which he has taken by himself) turns into big points and allows him to increase what was once a very substantial lead!

Papillion who has stealithy moved into 4th place is also hoping for a exciting nail-biter to move him over the top or certainly further into the mix.

Looking WAY ahead there are two games that could provide HUGE points in Week 17 -- with the Packers v. Vikings (which noone has picked) or Cincy v. Baltimore which both TheIggy and Iron Shiek have finishing thier schedules......if it comes down to these two....TheIggy will need a few more big weeks to close in and maybe overtake the Iron Shiek in the final week. Certainly could happen!

Good Luck this week - your leader is in RED

I would indeed sacrifice those points and any advantage for a Stillers blowout... Whatever I can do to bring home a victory from Baltimoron land. :)

Talking about week 17 matchups, I think I picked Denver and KC or something along those lines. That may do me in... KC- yuck.

And BOOM goes the dynamite --- we have a new leader! Pfelix73 has clawed and scratched his way onto the top spot, however he only has a slight lead over Iron Shiek who has dominated the board for the bulk of the season. Ask any member in the Hall of Champions they'll tell you it's not how you start it's how you finish this mutha...that determines if you get a spot in the hallowed hall!

Looking ahead you'll see that Iron Shiek is fighting back with a 25 point bonus that will put him ahead by 15 at kick-off....one has to wonder how short lived Pfelix73's rise to the top will be??

Another Exec. to keep an eye on is Papillion who is sneaking up the board and will enjoy a 10 point bonus game all to himself --- the Cowboys have been in some real nail-biters this season, and Big Pappi could do a world of damage if he had a game similiar to last week's top dog Jooser!

Jooser took an Andrew Lucky 100 point Detroit v. Colts game and maybe has found some momentum to make a late run at the top?!? I seen a number of Execs go from the bottom to the top in several seasons --- seriously not much surprises me anymore with this cursed game.

Also for the first time that I can remember --- one of the Suits (NBC) is right in the mix! It's bad enough a Falcon Fan has a spot in the Hall of Champions I don't know if I can stomach NBC owning a spot for an entire year?

Sadly for Me and Steelgal we're sliding down the chart like it's a pole and we're a pair of.....well.....um.....firemen?!?

Gentlemen (and Steelgal) thank you for your patience ---- I've updated the scores leading up to the last day of Regular Season NFL Football.

As you can see Pfelix73 holds a commanding lead and sadly (with the exception of Fordfixer's possible shot at earning the highest single week score EVER) many of us will be fighting just to stay out of the Goose Egg Lounge this weekend, let alone make a legit run at the current leader Pfelix73.

Sadly Fordfixer suffered two consecutive weeks with a 0 score these past two weeks ---- had he played it differently down the stretch I certainly believe he could have been a very scary threat to win in "Final" Jeapordy" style!

Also this is the first year I can remember where Former Champions Ghost and Neclams are sitting in the middle of the pack -- what's even more curious is that Flippy has actually just taken the Steelers Schedule (including a bye week) and scored better than he has this season.....I just assumed he'd eventually crank it up?? But instead the scoring giant remained dormant.

Here we go with the last week -- Good Luck ---- Your leader is in RED

The season began with Steelgal jumping out to an early lead, but falling back after week two when the Iron Shiek owned the top of the board from Week 3 till Week 13.....sadly as many contenders will tell you, MNF Exec. is a game that is often not won early, but more often then not --- lost late.

Iron Shiek contended the entire season -- his schedule remained solid and he was always within striking distance, even in the last two weeks he had a shot of a late rally and stealing a spot in the Hall of Champions -- especially seeing how Pfelix73 only scored 5 points with his Week 17 game.

In contrast to the Champ's 5 point score --- Fordfixer earned the highest weekly score of 115 points in Week 17 --- and I thought he was going to take the all time high score, but Dallas (as usual this season) failed to "make it a game" when it mattered most!

On a side note Papillion enjoyed the most playoff points (75) with his overall schedule this season -- he missed scoring playoff points in only two weeks - Week 5 and Week 10 -- both games featured the Eagles.

In Week 11 our new Champion Pfelix73 leapt into the #2 spot and continued to chip away at the lead until he finally took over in Week 13 -- his weekly scores (aside from Week 17) were usually the top score of the week -- or the second best scores as he closed out the season winning by nearly 50 points.

Thank you all for participating in Monday Night Football Exec. 2012 ---- my very special thanks (as always) to Ghost who takes time out to help me score these games and make the game much better and with far fewer mistakes -- as always Ghost - you the man!

Hopefully we'll all do this again next year!

Pfelix73 -- it is the honor of the Champion to finish the season with an acceptance speech -- so you're on Champ!

L.B.

I wanted to thank everyone who played this year and hope that we all had fun. I will be back next year to defend my Title!

I was asked to say a few words in closing out the season, so here goes-

This year was the first year where I actually took the time to look at each week's schedule and evaluate the points system, etc. In the past, I would pick games based on what 'looked good'. Taking the extra time to actually put some thought into the games I chose, obviously paid off! Thanks Lonbull for putting this challenging game together for us......

Congrats to everyone who competed in here this season! Thanks. :)

Have a safe 2013!

Pfelix- congrats on the win. Great effort. This is, without a doubt, the most challenging competition in all sport. There should be some kind of financial prize for your efforts...

But there isn't, so stop dreaming about it already.
