Not good news. It sounds like Casey may be ineffective for awhile. I'm not worried because I think we have lots of depth of the DL and McLendon is an emerging star.

At this point I prefer McLendon over Hampton.

A Nose Tackle who has had surgery on his knee (needed to hold his ground) AND his elbow (needed to push blockers)? Good night Casey. Role reversal with McLendon. McLendon used to just come in for goalline/short-yardage duty, while Hampton started.

It would be good if Casey can be healthy though. Casey would be a good backup.

Steelers will need Casey in long run.
