Are we having a game chat thread tonight?

Looked for it. haven't found it yet.

I don't think we have chat capabilities on the new forum yet (on draft night, we had to do one of those old school 40 page "GameDay" threads like we used to have back at the Trib). We could do something like that again.

Had all this time to prepare. Season is now here.. Not good...

RuthlessBurgher
08-09-2012, 07:57 PM
Solid first FG drive tp start off...running hard when we had to run, like on 4th down...throwing actual screens as opposed to bubble screens...Ben throwing quick hitters as well as scrambling to make a play. However he did get sacked twice...one allowed by Adams, the other allowed by Foster. I've been watching my boy DeCastro, and he looks pretty darn good to me, not like the guy folks watching training camp practices have described.

Good pursuit by old man Foote to get the Shady on the sideline for a 1 yard loss.

pfelix73
08-09-2012, 08:04 PM
Had a good pull that got Redman a 5 yard gain. Not hard to do though. That's easy for a OG.. Adams looked good on some, not so on some, but hey, they are rooks.. Adams whole thing is gonna be the pass blocking..

Not sure who was responsible for that 70 yard TD...Curtis Brown, Cortez Allen, and Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith were all a good 10 yards away from him when he caught it.

Albert Einstein arrives at a party and introduces himself to the first person he sees and asks, "What is your IQ?" to which the man answers 212.

"That is wonderful!" says Albert. "We will talk about the Grand Unification Theory and the mysteries of the Universe. We will have much to discuss!"

Next Albert introduces himself to a woman and asks, What is your IQ?" to which the lady answers, 144.

"That is great!," responds Albert. "We can discuss politics and current affairs. We will have much to discuss!"

Albert goes to another person and asks, "What is your IQ?" to which the man answers, 51.

Albert responds, "How 'bout dem Ravens"?

What's with all the sacks? We give em up to the 1st team. The 2nd team. And the 3rd team. The one consistent in Pittsburgh is inconsistent pass pro.

We haven't been able to pass protect since the day Wayne Gandy left town.

In preseason games, it is much more promising to dominate the first half when the real players play...it's not a huge deal in the second half when 40 of their guys who will be out of work soon are beating your 40 guys who will be out of work soon.

During Tomlin's first presser of the season, he spoke a lot about Carter. He really seemed to fawn over him a bit like he was set to be the Steelers next great LB. I've been expecting a lot since that presser. Carter looks bigger and faster from what I remember. Maybe he's just playing faster.

Speaking of faster, did it seem like Rainey got faster as the game went on. I know he got faster against scrubs, but I wonder if he had some nerves to start the game and just got more comfy.
