At this point in the draft there would be no point in spending a pick on a RB as it's not like we would get someone better than what we have. We currently have Redman, Dwyer, Clay, Batch, and Spann with Mendenhall possibly able to go in the second half of the season. So with that, here are some questions/ thoughts for the board...

-Why has Dwyer been Written off as a quality RB possibility? In the lone opportunity he got to tote the rock he put up 100+yds. Yeah, a majority of those yards came on one carry but isn't that the case with a majority of Mendenhalls big days? His totals are typically below 100 if he doesn't hit at least one longer run. I think Dwyer + Redman may be a nice duo.

-What is the issue with Clay that if Redman went down he couldn't get 20 carries? Is he too slow?

-What do you guys think of Barron Batch? I saw video of his rehab & he looks like he will be ready for camp at or near 100%. is he just a 3rd down back or would he be capable of getting 15 to 20 per game? Is he a good receiving RB?

-Don' know much about Spann other than he is a smaller RB. Is he a good receiving RB?

Anyway, if we don' trade for a RB I don't see why at this point in the draft we would take one.

Rainey could easily hide behind some of our new big uglies. This kid is explosive and could be an asset. I wouldn't mind drafting him at this point.

i think RB in the 5th should be the choice

Cyrus Gray
Dan Herron
Vick Ballard
Tauren Poole
Terrance Ganaway

should be under heavy consideration
