1. NFL meet Laughingstock … Laughingstock, this is the NFL.

Problem?

2. This was a historic game. The Steelers had a chance to forever derail the career of Tim Tebow. The Broncos were in a skid, everyone had agreed that the Tebow Tide had crested … the Steelers needed only win this game and 12 months later Tim Tebow is selling insurance in Des Moines

Where even the flood control is well-endowed ….

3. This is the internet and we all know that the internet is serious business.

See what I mean … even this cracker agrees …

4. You don’t have to be fresh. Heaven’s knows you don’t have to be right. You just have to have an angle. I’ve read your posts and it sounds to me that the vast majority of us know what happened to the team. And what happened to this team is bor-ring!

5. What is interesting is what happens to everyone watching this team.

6. The reason I like Tebow is because he is the Troll King of the NFL.

7. The Steelers scored an opening drive field goal. At that time I wrote in my notes the following: “That should be all the points we need to beat Tebow.”

No one deep … problem?

8. Serious as a heart attack, this game started and I was sitting there scoping the interwebs for hilarious pictures with which I could mock the Broncos and their all too easy target: Tim Tebow. Making notes and assuming that even as banged-up as the Steelers were, they would win.

9. I found this one … awesome picture but the joke’s on who?

This guy is laughing his butt off right now.

10. This one looked great … surely I could use it …

Its funny cause the internet says so.

11. This game ended when, on the third Steelers drive, they got to the red zone and forgot how they got there. Heath Miller was killing the Broncos early. Redman was running effectively … I wonder what Bruce Arians will do … hmmmmmm …

12. The first 3 Wildcard games had been fairly boring. Blowouts. This game was supposed to be even more so. This game was supposed to redefine boring and predictable. Instead I heard on the radio that this game drew the largest ratings for a football game in the last 24 years (Oilers-Seahawks was the former champion).

13. The Broncos had 6 plays for 10 yards in the first quarter. The reason they didn’t have 24 plays for 40 yards for the entire game is because they made what football people call “adjustments”. Can you say “adjustments” boys and girls?

I knew you could.

14. You’ll recall that 20 yard completion to Decker that started the 2nd quarter? Anymore, after a play I find myself waiting for the referees to rule on it. No matter how simple or obvious … I honestly don’t know what constitutes a “catch” in the NFL.

15. Didn’t you love how Nantz was bagging on Harrison about hitting that guy low? James Harrison is history’s greatest monster. Move aside, Hitler.

16. Clay is a big guy.

17. For anything in this game that went right there was at least two things that went wrong. That drive at the end of the half … looking better and then Legs snaps the ball over Ben’s head (cue Yackety Sax).

18. The awful truth is that this felt more representative of the Steelers season this year. They have played poorly more often than not.

19. The overtime rules are well-intentioned but unnecessary.

20. Perspective: This team was not going to the Super Bowl. We all knew this to be the case. The only “wildcard” to be decided was at whose hands they would get beat. Did they disrespect Tebow? Did we not give him the credit he deserved? Heck, I don’t think so. I can almost guarantee that he will go out next week and not be able to complete a pass. You watch, he will suck on ice. For some reason, this Steelers team brings out the best in overmatched QBs. I’d love to see them change that sometime soon.

Spot on. My biggest fear was making Tebow look like Montana. And we did.

I've said it before and I'll say it now:

The Steelers will always get the opponent's best effort. Always.

Nobody cares about any other teams.

I agree with you and MJG on this one. Teams brings their A-game to play the Steelers.

Well dammit, is it too much to ask of the Steelers to match that with an A-game of their own?

That hasn't happened since the late 70's.
