Ryan Clark probably would have made a difference but we'll never know.

I've been saying for two years the rankings are BS. They are misleading because the trend is we pad our stats against bad teams and struggle against good. Today we go humiliated by the worst offense in the NFL led by the worst Q in the NFL.

No adjustments. LeBeau was in La La land. The Broncos were successful on mostly the same plays all game long. Not having deep safety coverage when the only way they can win the game is a TD is sheer stupidity.

Thank you Coach LeBeau for a brilliant HoF career. Now retire and enjoy the rest of your life.

P.S. Take Arians with you you you have someone to go fishing and golfing with.

That blame is shared with our pass rushers who couldn't touch Tebow or pressure him all game long.

Great defensive game plan and even better adjustments...NOT!!!!!!

That was painful to watch, but with a full deck we would have rolled. Maybe losing this game was the best thing that could have happened. We were too banged up to make it all the way. Maybe now they sit back and take a long hard look at some of the older players, and some of the coaching staff as well.

losing keisel hurt but they pressured him multiple times, most of the time they were keeping contain (doing their job), i would rather make tebow throw on us than scramble all over the place.

you can say what you want but ike not preventing those catches is what won the game for them

Damarius Thomas accounted for practically 250 yards of offense, with Ike "shadowing" him all game. Everyone deserves blame of course--but our "shutdown" CB deserves the lion's share.

Funny. We had one good game against a young Pats team and I guess we thought we were on our way.. But that was fools gold.
truth is ANY team who ran on us had wonderful success passing on us. IF we cant take away the run we normally had a hard time beating the team. Tebow is unique to us because he is like a big running back who can throw.. We were forced to Watch him for the option and it allowed the Receivers to get behind us time after time.. I am not talking about this big bombs I'm just talking about all those long 3rd down conversions..

but all in all we still had a shot at the game. The Defense did do its job in regulation but our offense couldn't even get us a 60 yard Fg attempt.

8 of the teams the Steelers played this year did not have winning records. Cle x 2, Jags, Colts, KC w/ Palko, St Louis, AZ. They feasted on chumps, some of the worst teams in the league.

And Tebow had all day back there for most of the game. A couple of times towards the end where they could not even tackle him don't count as pressure. Ike was beyond awful but there were WR's wide open a bunch. Add to that no sort of plan to keep Tebow off balance and the inexplicable decision fro no deep help in OT where a FG does not win it. F for the D and the D coaches.

Exactly we have good young talent to and competent front office people to add to that. It's all good guys...

"#1 defense" ranking is a mirage that fooled us into believing we were better than we really turned out to be, just like the 12-4 record, built largely from ekeing out narrow wins against inferior teams on a weak schedule is a mirage.

We have the talent to be a very good team. But it takes much more than talent.

Maybe these results will prompt a return to discipline and commitment to hard work, preparation, and maximum effort every Sunday for a full 60 minutes.

+1

The defensive production as far as sacks and INTs was abysmal this season. Probably the worst since the mid-80's

It's not exactly a mystery why the Steelers' season is done. Their defense -- ranked No. 1 in the NFL in points allowed and yards allowed coming in -- made the worst quarterback in the league look like John Elway. Tim Tebow, who completed just 46.5 percent of his passes in the regular season, completed just 10 on this gorgeous winter day in the Rockies, but they went for a staggering 316 yards. The Steelers defense had allowed just two completions for 40 or more yards in the 16-game season. It allowed four in this loss. It also allowed Tebow to throw a 30-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Eddie Royal over cornerback William Gay in the second quarter.

By now, you've probably seen the replay a hundred times of the winning touchdown in overtime. On the first play from the Denver 20, wide receiver Demaryius Thomas beat Taylor with an inside move, caught the ball at the Broncos 38, fought Taylor off with a stiff arm at the Broncos 48 and outran him and safety Ryan Mundy to the end zone. It was stunning on a couple of fronts. It took just 11 seconds. It was the Broncos' fourth win in overtime.

You might say the Steelers were Tebowed.

They worked hard and were prepared. You are being very unfair. The Steelers are not vastly more talented than every other team. They achieved what they did through hard work and dedication.
