>> Roethlisberger was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, again throwing with a glove on his right hand and a splint protecting his broken right thumb. The splint, Roethlisberger said, affects his ability to grip the ball as well as the touch he puts on passes. He said the Steelers' training staff has been "tweaking" the splint this week to make it less of a hindrance

This is not good. Ben has games where he puts the ball on the ground too much. If it's cold or wet, this could end as one of Ben's worst nightmares. Who doesnt think KC goes after his arm?

BTW, don't know if anyone took a look but the Steelers are not playing at a playoff-winning level right now. Look at the average point differential. They are at +4.1, which is half of Baltimore's and only 1/3 of GB's margin. Our last Superbowl year?...nearly double at +7.8. How may people would be comfortable with Suishi as the game decider?...not me.

It's all about turnovers. GB and Balt get them, we don't. NE gets them, too. If we start forcing a couple a game, we'll be hard to beat.

We play some cupcakes coming home. We'll win most of them and blow a couple. We'll get in as a wildcard and by then Ben's thumb will be mostly healed. We aren't going to get a bye through the playoffs and frankly, it doesn't necessarily help when we do. We can win on anyone's turf. And only 1 team is playing at a SB level right now and that's GB. Baltimore plays retarded half the time. That team has zero chance of winning the Super Bowl. We don't have a great chance either, but its a chance.

The Steelers have been trying to make due with a lot of injuries (certainly more than the Ravens). I am not surprised at all that their differntial is not as good as the Ravens or Packers. Green Bay has the best team in the league. Everyone is looking up at them.
