Seriously, even though the Rats swept us???

The overall record counts for more than divisional record. The Ravens sweeping us will factor in say if both team finish at 11-5.

Only because the Ravens have played one less game. If we're in 1st place after next weekend that would be very cool. :tt2 If the Steelers win out the Ravens will still have to lose again for the Steelers to win the division. The Ravens still hold the edge, but officially the Steelers are in 1st right now.

Next week, while our 7-3 Steelers are lounging on their La-Z-Boys during the bye week, 6-3 Baltimore and 6-3 Cincy will face off against one another. One has to lose, falling to 6-4. The other, unfortunately, will be tied with us at 7-3.

We should be hoping that the Ravens fall to the Bengals next week, because we still hold the tiebreaker advantage over Cincy at the present time (1-0 head-to-head against them at this point, as opposed to 0-2 against Baltimore).

Thanks for the great explanation RB!! Here's to hoping the Bengals win.

Both Pittsburgh & Baltimore must play the very tough 49ers (who saw that coming?).

Pittsburgh's remaining 5 opponents other than SF:

2 vs Browns
Home vs Cincy
at KC
home vs St Louis

They SHOULD win all 5 of those games.

Baltimore has

home vs Indy
at Cleveland
2 vs Cinci
at SD
home vs SF

The way they have played on the road I could easily see them losing to Cinci, SF, and SD and winning the other 3.

Cincy has

2 vs Baltimore
at Pitt
host Cleveland
host Houston
at Rams

If Baltimore loses even ONE of those 4 games vs the playoff contenders, Pitt controls their own destiny.

Yep. Essentially a 1/2 game ahead of the Ravens.

Truly pathetic. They really dispise the Steelers to not care about the other 14 games on their schedule.

Well, if Cincy beats Balt next week and the Steelers beat Cincy, we will have a margin of comfort.
Otherwise this is illusory -- if Balt wins next week they're ahead of Pitt.

It's all out of balance for them. Low expectations, low results.

Don't forget about Houston they are 7-3 with a win over the Steelers. They have to lose a game as well and the Steelers win out.

That's the fans, they don't know any better. The team has high expectations for themselves, but it is a beautiful thing reading those posts about how the season is a success by beating us twice regardless of whether they actually make it to the playoffs or not.

:tt2 :tt2 :tt2 :tt2
Steeler fans eat their own when the Steelers win and it isn't pretty. Ravens fans are happy with 2-14 provided they beat the Steelers twice. How cool is that?

People are saying the Steelers will or need to win or run the table on the rest of the schedule. No WAY! They are not good enough to do that. I still predict 11-5 at best.
That is two more losses. Meaning you gotta hope the Ravens lose 3 games to have shot
at winning the division.
