PITTSBURGH (AP) — Steelers rookie tackle Marcus Gilbert will miss Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4), meaning Pittsburgh (3-2) will start its sixth different combination of offensive linemen in six games.

Former starting left tackle Jonathan Scott will start in Gilbert's place on the right side. Gilbert injured his right shoulder three weeks ago in a win at Indianapolis and aggravated the injury last week against Tennessee. Scott — since replaced at left tackle when Max Starks was signed last week — came in for Gilbert at right tackle.

Third-down running back Mewelde Moore also was ruled out for Sunday, meaning those duties will fall to Isaac Redman or Jonathan Dwyer. Redman started last week in place of Rashard Mendenhall, who will return. In his second career game, Dwyer had 107 rushing yards.

so our starting OL will look like this:

Starks-Legursky-Pouncey-Foster-Scott

with Gilbert and Kemo also reportedly out, that leaves Essux and Jamon Meredith as the game day reserves.

if Legursky and Scott play well, I wonder if Kemo and Gilbert will automatically re-claim their starting positions?

I think Gilbert will (he's the OT of the future, he needs to play). I'd love for Kemo to stay on the bench. For every good block he throws, he screws up just as bad in pass protection.

I think he's just not smart enough to understand the blocking schemes. Especially when the D stunts. I don't know how many times he stood there blocking no one, looking in the wrong direction, as an untouched defender rushes Ben.

We've gotten this far with a different starting OL each week...let's see how long we can keep it going.

So far:

1. Scott-Kemoeatu-Pouncey-Legursky-Colon
2. Scott-Foster-Pouncey-Legursky-Gilbert
3. Scott-Kemoeatu-Pouncey-Legursky-Gilbert
4. Essex-Kemoeatu-Pouncey-Legursky-Gilbert
5. Starks-Legursky-Pouncey-Foster-Gilbert

This week:

6. Starks-Legursky-Pouncey-Foster-Scott

Maybe for week 7, Kemo comes back and Gilbert's still out.

7. Starks-Kemoeatu-Pouncey-Foster-Scott

Then Gilbert gets healthy and Scott back to being a backup swing tackle.

8. Starks-Kemoeatu-Pouncey-Foster-Gilbert

None of this is out of left field either...totally within the realm of possibility. That would give us a different starting OL combination for every game up to the midway point of the season. How much further could we go? Insanity...

>> The Steelers will face Jacksonville without seven players: nose tackle Casey Hampton (shoulder), linebackers James Harrison and Jason Worilds, guard Chris Kemoeatu (knee), running back Mewelde Moore (ankle), tackle Marcus Gilbert (shoulder) and defensive end Aaron Smith (foot). Rookie cornerback Cortez Allen (ankle) and safety Ryan Clark (quadriceps) are probable.

>> The Jaguars will sit running back Montell Owens (knee), former Pitt linebacker Clint Session (elbow) and guard Jason Spitz (quadriceps). Cornerback Derek Cox (groin) is doubtful, while tackle Eugene Monroe (shoulder) and receiver Kassim Osgood (hamstring) are questionable.
