A perfect counter-balance to Troy's award. :Beer

Who is the meanest player in football?

James Harrison, Steelers LB 35%

Ray Lewis, Ravens LB 15%

Ndamukong Suh, Lions DT 5%

Richard Seymour, Raiders DT 4%

FAST FACTS

No, commissioner Roger Goodell did not have a vote, but Harrison, the NFL's most-fined player of 2010, was still the runaway winner. (And getting sidelined indefinitely with an orbital fracture on Oct. 2 isn't likely to mellow him.)... . Sixty-eight players were named at least once, with linebackers (13) leading the way. Four QBs each got a single nod, as did the Lions' Jason Hanson, who must be one ornery kicker... . In a Facebook poll, Suh (40%) led Lewis (31%) and Harrison (23%). No one else was above 1%.

Based on 287 NFL players who responded to SI's survey

Would have not been surprised is Ndamukong Suh would have been voted the meanest. He is a bad mofo!

Paper towel dispensers are typically not a strong voting group, killing his chances.

I think it's hysterical that in subsequent response posts, the title of the thread was shortened to "SI Poll - James Harrison Voted Meanest Player by His Pee."

Harrison's pee shouldn't think he is mean...he said that he wouldn't piss on Goodell if he were on fire...that sounds like he is being kind to his own urine, not mean to it, no?

And speaking of Jeff Reed not getting the necessary votes from towel dispensers, if pee indeed has a say in this, then Matt Spaeth's pee is voting for Reed as one mean ol' Mofo.

I don't think James is mean at all. In those pics with kids in the hospital that he's always with, he's typically smiling ear to ear.

What has the guy done that's mean? Other than saying exactly what's on his mind any time he's asked. Maybe he's perceived to be mean because he doesn't really talk. Add in he's relentless. And you get mean, I suppose.
