1. 2-2 … better than 1-3 which is what this team deserves.

2. Now its time to play: Pick Your Scapegoat!

Who do you blame for this weekend’s loss?

• Bruce Arians

• Mike Tomlin

3. So let’s look at this from a position of status. What do we have that is good?
http://www.palzoo.net/file/pic/gallery/7138_view.jpg
I can’t think of a darn thing.

4. Seriously, what is this team good at? Its times like these that I believe the heroes among us must step up, inspire and lead!

http://www.midwestsportsfans.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/pittsburgh-steelers-fan.jpg
BTW, this is actual footage of Bruce Arians' interview.

5. Of the many things the Steelers are not good at: Sanders and Brown are not there yet.

6. What was that I was saying about the Oline last week?

7. If the Texans were better coached the Steelers would have lost by 20 points.

8. I’ve noticed that the Steelers keep losing the important games that would be tie-breakers for making the playoffs were the Steelers to find themselves in the playoff race at the end of the year. So that means …

9. Listening to the post-game show on the radio here in Houston and these Texans fans are giddy! It’s a little sad. In their heads, they just slayed Goliath. Beating this Steelers team is not a great accomplishment.

10. The Steelers have hired a new spokesman to handle the press conferences.
http://images.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/10394157.jpg

11. I’m watching Jon Gruden and Ron Jaworski desperately attempt to keep people from turning off MNF before it even starts … how’s that Colts-Bucs match-up looking now ESPN guys?

12. The defense isn’t as bad as we think it is. It’s just not as good as we remember it being.

13. And now a gif representation of this team from the Super Bowl to present day:
http://img.memecenter.com/uploaded/Take-off-that-fking-stupid-hat_0c70f4b1fb4abf7eaf70817b053e060c.gif
Take off that hat, Steelers!

14. There is a reason this team has so few take-aways this year … they are not at the right place at the right time. They are unable to impose their will. They are taking bad angles to the ball. It’s as if this team has lost its football instincts.

15. I don’t hang on every word in postgame press conferences but I was glad to hear both Hampton and Harrison owning how much the Steelers suck right now. None of that “the better team lost” or “we beat ourselves” crap.

16. The Steelers hope for winning this game was to attack the weakest link on the Texans D – Kareem Jackson. I am troubled that they were unable to take advantage of that obvious hole.

What a hole might look like …

17. True story … I had coffee with this Texans cheerleader. She’s an IT recruiter during the week – or at least she was about 3 months ago.
http://prod.static.texans.clubs.nfl.com//assets/clubimages/Cheerleaders/brittany_cheerleader.jpg

Sweet girl. She spent the entire meeting with that “deer in the headlights” look on her face. Naturally I assumed she was stunned by my beauty ...
But it probably had more to do with her being completely lost in the jargon as I was trying to describe the skill set I needed for a couple of projects. I made sure to use a lot of technical terms and acronyms because women totally find that hot.

18. Perspective: Two things to keep in mind:
a. This team does much better when they are allowed to fly below the radar.
b. Peaking early is overrated. The trophy is typically awarded in February.

The Steelers are playing average ball and it has served to adjust the opponents’ expectations down. It is important to note that October is young. But that’s about all I have from an optimistic perspective. From a pessimistic perspective … well heck, we don’t need to shoot the fish in the barrel because they are doing it for us. Oline, oline, oline! My kingdom for an Oline! This team does not believe in itself. Why should we? Because we're just stupid like that.

This is evidenced by the fact that we are currently 4th in the AFC North (pauses to let that sink in).

There is alot of football to be played and really we're in a 3 way tie for second and only a game back of the Ravens (1.5 really). But at the moment we are officially worse than both the :brownssuck and the :bungalssuck ( :wft ).

Maybe I will peddle my IT Wares to Houston just to get some facetime with her.

15. I read it somewhere but Hampton said, "we're not getting pushed around, we're just missing tackles". I find that a bit disconcerting if he really thinks it's just missed tackles.

17. At one point they had a camera shot of 7 or 8 Texan cheerleaders and every single one was at least a 36D. That's just excellent management. I mean, the decison making skills of the person in charge of the cheerleaders are exceptional! :Boobs

The bottom looking up. But hey, at least the Steelers pushed those Seahawks around!

One of these days NFL cheerleader will become a fulltime job ... can you imagine the ratings if they held a draft for the cheerleaders?

I heard Hampton talking about that in a postgame interview. In context, he was being asked the same question four times in a row and he was trying to offer explanation on why they sucked so bad.
