I said it at the end of last year that I had no confidence in this guy if a game was on the line and it's still true. It's abssurd for him to miss that last one. They are in a dome. He is anti-clutch.

What makes you say that?

3 out of 4 FGs including 44 and 48 yarders and then the 38 yard game winner. :tt2

I'll give him a pass for the one that hit the left upright...

haha...oops ghost. hopefully he came on our board and saw your lack of confidence and did his best to win you over!

No change of heart. He's not good (that's why he's been on 6 teams). That first miss was absurd in a dome. And no one can tell me (or at least I wouldn't believe them) that they had total confidence he was going to hit a 38 yarder to win it. At least when the "Sheetz Destroyer" was kicking here you didn't have to worry about routine FG's for many years.

He is a good kicker he is not a great kicker. Reed was let go for his missed fg's. This kid does the job for the pay he is getting. Or we can try and trade Mendy for Janakowski im all for that move.

:Agree If the ball hadn't slightly tailed he would had made the one that hit the post. He may not be great, but he is not a bad kicker.

Can he play tackle?

I actually thought one of the defensive players might have gotten a finger on his missed kick.
He missed one last week and one tonight. He is not a good kicker but probably just average at best.

Sushi's a weak link, but he's hardly the weakest. With the way both the OL and the DL have played, I doubt we will see many games decided by FGs this year.

It was true in September and it's still true today. This guys sucks. If it's over 30 yards te Steelers should just go for it on 4th down. Does he even practice?

ridiculous.

I've said this since they signed him. The more important the kick the greater chance that he'll miss it. Given the Steelers penchant for playing close games he is going to cost us. I just hope it doesn't happen in the playoffs.

This guy is supposed to be a professional and I would have to guess his stats prove differently. Missing a 33 yard field goal is not what you want from a kicker.
When will the Steelers be upset enough to start trying out other kickers ? They did it with Skippy.

Suisham's 72% FG percentage ranks him 28th out of 32 among NFL kickers, only ahead of Jay Feely, Ryan Succop and Matt Prater.

Sushi has already missed 5 FGs, whereas Mason Crosby, Josh Scobee, Matt Bryant, Nick Novak and Nick Folk have yet to miss a FGA so far this season.

the Cowboys' Dan Bailey was signed as an UDFA and he's currently 17/18 on FGA, I'm surprised the Steelers weren't a little more aggressive in trying to find some competition for Suisham this season.

Thanks for the information and your right or I agree too. I assumed the Steelers used him as a quick fix to last season and thought they would have checked out more kickers in the off season and or training camp. I hate losing to start with but, I really hate when you have a good team that falls due to a bad kicker.

It was true in September when I created this thread and it's still true in December. They basically have to get to the 20 yard line to put it in his range. Going on 4th from the 25 -35 should be a no brainer. Leave this JV scrub on the bench.

Ha, ha ! You just reminded me of those Leslie Nelson movies that I think were called the Naked Gun.

Termoil, destruction all around the city street with Nelson saying, " there's nothing to see here "
