10.5 favorites on the road.

My take is that we run A LOT to burn clock and have ball control. Plus, I think that we shut that offense down for the most part.

Final score: Us 20, Them 6

Them - 13
AB returns opening KO for TD. Indy is driving for the tying score in the closing minutes when Troy does something ridiculous, like flying over the LOS for a sack on 4th and inches, to preserve the win.

It gets a little tougher for Ike who gets to face Reggie Wayne and Andre Johnson the next two weeks.

I was way off last week, this week will be better (I think).

Believe me, the dome will be louder this week than it will all season, because it will be filled with Steelers fans. I'm not being bragadocuious. Colts fans are jumping ship from the bandwagon cruise quicker than Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in Titanic. That being said, the Steelers will jump out early and give up some garbage points in the second half.

Troy would never dare do something like that against a legend like Kerry Collins.

Gerry Dulac's NFL Forecast: Week 3

Thursday, September 22, 2011
By Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Last week: 11-5 (.688)

Season record: 20-12 (.625)

Steelers (1-1) at Indianapolis Colts (0-2), 8:20 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: The Steelers haven't been back to Indy since their pulsating playoff victory in 2005. But, without Peyton Manning, the Colts will need more than a fumble at the goalline to beat the Steelers. By the way, whatever happened to Mike Vanderjagt?

Prediction: Steelers, 26-13

New England Patriots (2-0) at Buffalo Bills (2-0), 1 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: The Patriots have scored 73 points in their first two games and are averaging 563 yards offense. But the only team to score more points is Buffalo (79), which will need some of that offense to end a 15-game losing streak to the Pats.

Prediction: Patriots, 38-28

Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1) at Carolina Panthers (0-2), 1 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: The only quarterback other than Tom Brady to throw for more than 400 yards in each of the first two games is Cam Newton. He may not do it again against the Jaguars, who have the AFC's No. 4 pass defense, but ...

Prediction: Panthers, 23-21

San Francisco 49ers (1-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (1-1), 1 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: The 49ers let the Cowboys off the hook last week or they would be leading the NFC West. The Bengals can build some momentum with a victory because their schedule is so easy till Week 10.

Prediction: Bengals, 21-20

Miami Dolphins (0-2) at Cleveland Browns (1-1), 1 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: Surprise, surprise in Miami: Good offense, bad defense. Here's a surprise in Cleveland: Browns are tied for the division lead.

Prediction: Browns, 19-17

Detroit Lions (2-0) at Minnesota Vikings (0-2), 1 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: The Lions won the last four of 2010, all four of their preseason games, and the first two of 2011. That's 10 games without a loss. Who do they think they are -- the Red Wings?

Prediction: Lions, 31-21

Houston Texans (2-0) at New Orleans Saints (1-1), 1 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: This will be a better litmus test for the unbeaten Texans, who could have an easy path to what is a weak AFC South division. Drew Brees and the Saints will put their new 3-4 defense to the test.

Prediction: Saints, 34-30

New York Giants (1-1) at Philadelphia Eagles (1-1), 1 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: The Eagles finally return home after two opening games on the road, but they're not sure if injured Michael Vick will be well enough to be their quarterback. Right now, that would be about the only way the Giants could slow the Eagles.

Prediction: Eagles, 27-24

Denver Broncos (1-1) at Tennessee Titans (1-1), 1 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: The Titans managed to do something the Steelers had no chance of doing, not with seven turnovers -- beat the Ravens. If they can do that, they should have no problem with the Broncos, who better look out for Kenny Britt.

Prediction: Titans, 20-16

New York Jets (2-0) at Oakland Raiders (1-1), 4:05 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: There is nothing wrong with the Raiders offense, even without several of their top receivers. But there is nothing wrong with the Jets, either, who may not win their division but could challenge for the Super Bowl.

Prediction: Jets, 28-24

Baltimore Ravens (1-1) at St. Louis Rams (0-2), 4:05 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: The Rams don't have to worry about starting 0-2 in their division. But they don't want to start 0-3, even though they have a brutal opening schedule. The Ravens already had one letdown. Will they have another?

Prediction: Rams, 24-23

Kansas City Chiefs (0-2) at San Diego Chargers (1-1), 4:05 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: The news is not good in KC, where the Chiefs have already lost their best offensive (Jamal Charles) and defensive (Eric Berry) players for the season. They have also allowed an NFL-high 89 points in two games, which isn't good news against the Chargers.

Prediction: Chargers, 44-21

Green Bay Packers (2-0) at Chicago Bears (1-1), 4:15 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: It has been a tough opening stretch for the Bears, who get three 2010 NFC playoff teams, not to mention the past two Super Bowl champs, to start the season. The Packers still look in Super Bowl form.

Prediction: Packers, 28-27

Arizona Cardinals (1-1) at Seattle Seahawks (0-2), 4:15 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: The Cardinals will get better each week as Kevin Kolb gets more familiar with the offense. However, they better hope their defense, which has allowed an average of 343 yards passing, keeps pace.

Prediction: Cardinals, 24-16

Atlanta Falcons (1-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-1), 4:15 p.m., Sunday

The Skinny: This is an early chance for the Bucs to show they mean business in the tough NFC South. The Falcons need to show they can win somewhere other than the Georgia Dome. They'd be winless if Vick didn't get hurt.

Prediction: Falcons, 27-23

Washington Redskins (2-0) at Dallas Cowboys (1-1), 8:30 p.m., Monday

The Skinny: The Redskins have one of the worst rosters in the league, but they sit at the top of one of the toughest divisions in the league. The Cowboys have one of the best rosters in the league, but never seem to be able to get to the top.

Prediction: Cowboys, 27-21

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2011

Remember when the schedule came out and you wrote this game off as a loss?

Those days are long gone. The Steelers will control the game with Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman and slow the Colts pass rush.

The Colts have some offensive weapons, but the Steelers will get after Kerry Collins.

William Gay will start again in place of Bryant McFadden, while Brett Keisel is also out.

Chris Kemoeatu will be back.

Take Pittsburgh, 31-16

That Colts team had something to prove. These are guys that are used to winning and didn't like being asked every day and reading constantly in the papers and online about how they had no chance without Manning.

They had something to prove on national television and used their biggest strength against our biggest weakness and it almost worked.
