QB Dennis Dixon, WR Jerricho Cotchery, OL Ramon Foster, OT Chris Scott, LB Chris Carter, CB Curtis Brown, RB Jonathan Dwyer

I'm a little surprised that Cortez Allen got a helmet over Curtis Brown but other than that it is exactly as I expected!!!

I guess the coaching staff saw more out of Cortez on special teams compared to Curtis, which is where he'll be used today.

I expected Gilbert to sit and Essex and Foster to be active. Surprising to see a rookie OL get a hat in his first game (although his former Gator teammate Pouncey got a hat and a start in game 1 last year). Steep fall for Foster from starter last year to inactive this year.

I suspect that Hines Ward will have to serve as our #3 QB option if something happens to both Ben and Batch.

Cortez is the bigger, better athlete and the better tackler. I suspect he may contribute on ST.

I was impressed by Cortez's first playing time and wouldn't be surprised if he's the guy pushing BMac by season end or next offseason.

Maybe Battle can be our #3 QB :)

True, true...that's a possibility. Of course, consider that Hines completed over 61% of his passes at Georgia (69-112 for 872 yards, 2 TD, 3 INT) while Arnaz was just over 45% at Notre Dame...yuck (29-67 for 408 yards, 2 TD, 4 INT).

Good point. I was thinking more along the lines that Battle would have someone to throw to in Ward that's used to catching passes from guys like Kordell.

I'm actually very surprised Brown was not activated over Allen. Maybe there is a little lingering injury with Brown ?
