They were talking about it on TV earlier. If they put him on IR then they would have an extra roster spot for someone else. Sort of a risk, I think, because they said that Leftwich could come back after the 7th or 8th week of the season and then they would have his services for the 2nd part of the season, playoffs, and beyound- if need be.

Not sure if they are considering cutting Dixon too and just going with 2 QB's. I would think that you keep Dixon as the 3rd string, but who knows? They went with 2 the other year......

I would expect the Steelers to keep Ben, Batch and Dixon on the 53-man roster.

I think I read somewhere on this board that even if we WANTED to replace Dixon, there really isn't anyone available that would be enough of an improvement to compensate for the fact that at least Dixon knows our offense.

Plus, if we let Dixon go: 3...2...1... he's a Patriot*!!

So, despite how carppy the few passes I saw him throw yesterday looked, I agree (FWIW) - keep Dixon.

Sorry but Dixon does NOT know our offense. Cause Dixon is a moron with zero sense. ANY other QB would be drastically better...even Jemarcus Russell would be heads & clouds better. Not to mention the other 50 QB's I can name besides him.
