Ouch!

actually, that was a cheap shot from behind by Foster and Goodell probably will fine Ramon for that.

Hawaiian, sorry I disagree. It was a penalty yes. But, when Foster first started with his Block, Chaney was actually turned to the side which would have made it a legal block. But he turned, and Foster did hit him from behind. Look again really close. Now, like I said, it WAS a penalty. But, is it anything like the direct cheap shot blocking taught for so many years by the Broncos O-Linemen ?...I say no.

Hawaiian, I KNOW it was a penalty, I just don't think it was meant to be a cheap shot. I mean look how many Eagle players were right there and saw it happen, and yet none of them did anything. Only one pointed towards Foster, probably telling the Ref that it was a penalty. But, if Chaney, or his teammates really thought it was a cheap shot, they would have had his back. You KNOW our D-Boyz would have if they thought a shot was a cheap one.

IMO...that is without a doubt a cheap shot. That could have ended his season and he has every right to be pissed off and call out Foster....

A fine is probably in order....at least that is the way I see it.

Dont succumb to the Goodell logic. Every time one player touches another doesnt rate a fine. Fines used to be doled out every couple seasons, not a couple per game.

Listen...I am opposed to the Goodell reign with all the fines and rule changes.

However the intent of fines is to make players think twice about their actions and hopefully change a particular behavior....Kind of like a speeding ticket....

Unless I am watching a different video or missing something completely....Running up and rolling onto someones legs from behind at the tail end of play is behavior that needs to be modified...

What would you say if this was reversed? An Eagle rolling up on the back of Pouncy's legs at the end of the play.....

Watching the video posted, my first thought was that the ball was loose and Foster was going for it.

Watching again, it was actually just the bottom of Chaney's shoe, which was like a red/brown color.

That is total bush league, no matter how you look at it. At least Foster manned-up and apologized to Chaney. Still...

That is one of the biggest cheaps just I have seen in a long time.

Tomlin should be all over him for crap like that. Not only does it cause an injury to a person but, labels the team and causes flags to be thrown. Foster isn't very good as it is unless you need to use him as a mop. Foster is the Buggy Boy of our linemen.

Brings back the time Keenen Mccardell took a cheap shot on LB
Chad Brown years back.

No, the hit last night that Rahim Moore put on Donald Jones is CHEAP. He clearly launches himself, and goes Helmet to Helmet. Gotta be at least 100,000 on the fine.

Looking at this video ...

from this POV, Foster's hit looks late, cheap, dangerous, and beyond any justification.

Rahim Moore is a first-time offender so his fine will be a lot less than that, I would say no higher than $20,000.

Man that Ramon Shot was pure ugly.. I wonder was it some kind of reliation or something. The late hit on Ben maybe? I mean Its totally not justified but I hope he isnt one of those kinds of guys.

ยป Lineman Ramon Foster was fined $15,000 for a preseason hit on Eagles linebacker Jamar Chaney. The NFL heard Foster's appeal Tuesday, and he's likely to get his fine reduced to $7,500. Foster said he reached out to Chaney on Twitter last month to apologize for the hit. Foster wasn't penalized for the hit.

That hit by Moore was actually legal a couple of years ago. And I dont see helmet to helmet. I see shoulder to maybe partial helmet. I for one think that is a shame that a DB can no longer hit/dislodge a ball from a receiver like that. If you are on the field and you are wearing gear/pads/helmet....how in the world are you defenselessness?? Makes no sense and they are ruining the game I grew up loving.

These are grown men. Modern day gladiators. For goodness sakes man up!
