Vaughn Charlton, TE/HB (Temple); John Clay, HB (Wisconsin); Terrence McCrae, WR (Ohio); Armand Robinson, WR (Miami University); Adam Mims, WR (Furman); Weslye Saunders, TE (South Carolina); Colin Miller, C (Central Michigan); Trevis Turner, OT (Abilene Christian); Brent Greenwood, S (Iowa); Niles Brinkley, CB (Wisconsin); Eric Clanton, OLB (Citadel); Mario Harvey, MLB (Marshall); Miguel Chavis, DE (Clemson); Anthony Gray, DT (Southern Miss); Eric Greenwood, WR (Idaho).

While the Baltimore Ravens were dumping veterans from their roster this morning, their AFC North rivals were busy loading up on young talent.

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed 15 undrafted rookies just as the transaction period opened Tuesday morning.

The haul included four wide receivers, a pair of running backs and South Carolina tight end Weslye Saunders who was botted from the Gamecocks after lying to NCAA investigators about trips financed by agents. Saunders was predicted to have a breakout season and emerge as a high draft pick before he crashed out of Columbia.

I am stoked about getting Clay...and I'm not completely sure why. I know he runs like a 5.9 40. I know he runs lighter than his size would indicate. But, he is just one of those guys I like watching run the ball.

Harvey is very interesting as well...very fast.

I'm also intrigued by the TE Saunders. He was labeled as a 1st or 2nd round pick before getting in to trouble.

Clay had a heckuva sophomore year at Wisconsin by rushing for more than 1,500 yds. He probably screwed himself by coming out early after just a so-so junior season. Could be a good pickup for the Steelers.
