Didn't the Ravens sign Donte Stallworth AFTER HE KILLED A GUY while driving drunk? Where were Ray Rice's tweets about that?

Ray Rice, Ryan Clark exchange tweets

Receiver Hines Ward's weekend arrest for DUI has added some additional fuel to the bitter Pittsburgh Steelers-Baltimore Ravens rivalry.

The AFC North teams are scheduled to play in Baltimore in Week 1, if the lockout is lifted, and Ravens running back Ray Rice and Steelers safety Ryan Clark exchanged tweets on Saturday after Rice reacted to Ward's arrest on the social media website.

Rice began the brief exchange by posting on his Twitter account: "Well it looks like Hines Ward will miss week 1 when the lockout ends DUI charge not a good look."

Clark responded: "So glad you could Weigh in. Thx," which drew this reaction from Rice: "it's whatever u wanna do bro you know how to find me."

Clark assured Rice that he will find him in Week 1, assuming the months-long NFL lockout ends and Week 1 games are played as scheduled.

"I hear ya brother.Thought we were all better than that. Wouldnt speak negative of you. I'll find you! It's not hard. God bless," he wrote.

Clark has delivered hard hits to Ravens players before. In the 2009 AFC Championship Game, he knocked Ravens running back Willis McGahee out of the game with a helmet-to-helmet hit that left the Steelers safety groggy.

The two players stopped exchanging tweets after that, but Clark answered a tweet from one of his followers by writing, "I support Hines to the fullest. I believe his name will be cleared in the end. A great player and better man!"

Ward was arrested early Saturday in Georgia and charged with driving under the influence. His marketing agent and attorney, Andrew Ree, released a statement Saturday afternoon saying that "we are confident that the facts will show that Hines was NOT impaired by alcohol while driving. However, Hines is deeply saddened by this incident and apologizes to his fans and the Steelers organization for this distraction."

Rice, whose cousin was killed by a drunken driver in 1998, helped the state of Maryland kick off its "Operation Checkpoint" campaign against drunken driving last August.

Nothing excites the Ratbirds more than the thought of a key Steelers player missing a game against the Ratbirds.

Of course, I don't think that an NFL player has ever been suspended for his first DUI, but you can't blame Ray Rice
for dreaming. He's a Ratrbird!!

The only thing we know for sure is that a Flacco-led Ravens team cannot beat a Roethlisberger-led Steelers team (Flacco's Ravens are 0-6 vs. the Steelers when Roethlisberger starts...and the games he won with Dixon and Batch starting both went down to the wire). The Ravens only hope for winning the opener would be if Zach Galifinakis, Bradley Cooper, and Ed Helms paid Ben a visit the night before his wedding.

First Steelers/Ravens game, Ryan Clark will be looking to turn Ray Rice into Rice-a-Roni.

Is it just me, or is twitter a bit confusing to follow. I mean, I got the jist of the message there. But it's like: all this @this person, and @that person, sometimes it confuses me whether that person is talking or is being replied to... etc.

Wasn't Ray Rice the guy who coughed up a fumble which helped turn around the playoff game last year? Maybe he ought to practice holding on to the ball instead of worrying about Hines.

Ryan Clark: It’s not a rivalry until Ravens start winning

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on July 13, 2011

We’ve frequently called the Ravens and Steelers the best current rivalry in the NFL. Steelers safety Ryan Clark doesn’t see it that way.

“People try to make this game between the Ravens and the Steelers like so much of a rivalry, of a fight, you know. You can say it’s a rivalry if you like, but for something to be a rivalry, I think both teams have to win equally,” Clark told KDKA via the Baltimore Sun. ”The hate between the fans doesn’t make it a rivalry. Teams have to win equally, and that really hasn’t been the case in our situation.”

He has a point. The Steelers have won seven of the last 10, including the last six that Ben Roethlisberger has started. Still, we disagree with the notion it’s not a rivalry.

Steelers and Ravens is great because it doesn’t just come from the fans. So many of their games have been classics, almost always coming down to the last possession. There is more hitting when these teams play than any other matchup.

We say it’s a rivalry regardless, but Joe Flacco and company could take it to another level if they could beat Pittsburgh in the playoffs.

I hate the ravens as much if not more than anyone (i lived there for 3 years)..but ray rice had a brother killed by a drunk driver, he is obviously passionate about it and if the shoes were turned and he were a steeler and a raven got a dui and he did this we would be on his side. FACT
