Ike is the best fit for us. There are several on that list I would prefer over Gay. IMO Gay is a nickle back and I think we got a better one in the draft in Curtis Brown. The question is will he be allowed to legitimately compete for that role?

The best thing this can do is put out younger options to compete with Ike for his services on the FA market. His value will likely go down because of this.

I'm looking for a 4 yr/ ~29 mil contract to be given to Ike by the Steelers. That puts him above everyone on the Steelers except Big Ben, Jimmy Hate, and Troy I believe.

Casey Hampton and Max Starks are right in that salary range too. A small step down are Heath Miller and Aaron Smith. I think that's a fair deal and he would take it.

Offer Ike a contract and if he doesnt take it offer the same contract to Marshall.

Marshall doesnt turn 27 until December.

Recorded at least 3 int's in each year he's been in the league except 2008.
J. Fox called him a "real football player".

Sounds like our type of guy.

Be nice to have both. but that ain't happenin.

Either Ike or Marshall.
