Boo Hoo. Shut up already! How many years ago was that? Besides, what did he really do in college to deserve a higher round draft pick?

For the most part Brady's college career was uneventful but in his very last game vs Alabama in the Orange Bowl he went 34 of 46 for 369yds and 4 tds. That was probably his best performance in college and a hint of what he was capable of.

Wow......didn't realise Chadman could care so little.

:D

Chadman is sure there are a bunch of 6th round guys that have gone on to be successful- might not all be QB's- but maybe we should see their interviews too?

Let him orchestrate an offense from behind a less-than-stellar offensive line for a season, then he might have some real issues to blubber about.

The video reminded me...we picked that amazing WR Danny Farmer and that stellar QB Tee Martin ahead of Marcia...Wow.

new england themselves picked Antwan Harris about 10 picks b4 marcia and jeff marriot about a round earlier

it was nothing more then getting lucky with a draft pick

Yeah, but if we'd taken Brady, we'd have a good backup for Ben. :D

So his own team passed him over 6 times

looked at it quickly, but they seemed to have some comp picks (i believe he was actually a comp pick)

so they could have passed him up even more then 6 times

Patriots 2000 Draft Order
Round (Overall) Name Position School
2 (46) Adrian Klemm OT Hawaii
3 (76) J.R. Redmond RB Arizona
4 (127) Greg Robinson-Randall OT Michigan State
5 (141) Dave Stachelski TE Boise State
5 (161) Jeff Marriott DT Missouri
6 (188) Antwan Harris DB Virginia
6 (199) Tom Brady QB Michigan
6 (201) David Nugent DT Purdue
7 (226) Casey Tisdale DE New Mexico
7 (239) Patrick Pass RB Georgia

looks like he was their 7th pick cause they didnt have a 1st rounder.

and according to wiki, he was a comp pick

Holy crap! If Brady hadn't emerged as a superstar that could be one of the worst draft classes...ever.

But Brady is a superstar, wins a few SB's & that draft class is their most important one...maybe ever.

Hometown boy Marc Bulger was still on the board as well when they drafted Tee Martin. Although Bulger isn't a future Hall of Famer or anything he may have had just enough talent to knock old Corky out of the starting lineup.
