Doing another Official Visit thread. Similar to last years viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10999 (http://www.planetsteelers.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10999) and the year before that viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5926 (http://www.planetsteelers.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5926) If you see a visit lined up for the Steelers please post the info here.

Players will be moved to Official once their visit has taken place. Also only visits to the south side will be counted here. Looking for the 30 official allowed. Other visits/meetings could be listed in the tread somewhere. Hawaiiansteel already posted a list of players interviewed at the Combine. Thanks to him for that!

Thanks for the Sticky

Taiwan Jones is a RB from Eastern Washington. 6'1 205 lbs. He has excellent lateral agility and speed. He ran from a spread but looks like an exciting 3rd down guy/change of pace man/KR. If he puts on 10 pounds he could be an every down back.

Apparently, the Steelers are bringing him in for a visit. His
tape speaks for itself (as Tomlin would say).

Steelers' next door 'neighbors' stop by for pre-draft visit
Wednesday, March 16, 2011
By Gerry Dulac

The Steelers had seven players who are accustomed to being in the building at their South Side offices today, but it wasn't any of their own.

Seven Pitt players who could be taken in the NFL draft went next door and visited with Coach Mike Tomlin and director of football operations Kevin Colbert.

The players were wide receiver Jon Baldwin, defensive ends Jabaal Sheard and Greg Romeus, fullback Henry Hynoski, running back Dion Lewis, offensive tackle Jason Pinkston and safety Dom DiCicco.

Because Pitt is a local team, those players do not count against the 30 prospects the Steelers are allowed to bring in before the draft.

Meantime, the team announced that Burt Lauten will serve as interim communications coordinator, replacing Dave Lockett, who left the team after 13 seasons.

And some of their dance cards are beginning to fill up.

California defensive end Cameron Jordan—who is currently the NFP’s fourth-rated DE prospect—has upcoming visits scheduled with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills, per a league source.

In addition to those aforementioned visits, Jordan met with the Detroit Lions at their practice and training facility on Tuesday.

The 6-4, 282-pound senior racked up 51 tackles and six sacks in 12 games with the Golden Bears last season en route to earning first team All-PAC-10 honors.

• During Pittsburgh's pro-day the top prospects both looked good in position drills. Jon Baldwin ran much better routes compared to his combine workout and caught the ball well. The big-bodied pass catcher could slide into the late part of Round 1.

Meanwhile Jabaal Sheard also looked good in a variety of defensive line and linebacker drills. He's unlikely to slip past the middle of round two based on his combine time (4.67s) and performance today.

Cameron Jordan to visit Steelers

According to published reports, California defensive lineman Cameron Jordan is among the players scheduled to visit the Steelers.

The 6-4, 287-pound Jordan is a classic 3-4 end with plenty of upside potential. He's also a player capable of moving inside on passing downs. He's a first-round talent.

Also scheduled to meet with the Steelers are Eastern Washington running back Taiwan Jones and Citadel cornerback Cortez Allen.

Jones, 6-1, 200, is considered a mid-round prospect. He's had some injury problems, so the visit could have been to clear up some medical issues. He missed three games, including a pair of playoff games with a broken foot.

Jones did have nine 100-yard games, including a pair over 200 yards, in 2010, finishing second in FCS in rushing.

Allen, 6-1, 197, is a mid- to late-round talent who could be a small-school gem. He had just 22 tackles and two interceptions in 2010 as most opponents stayed away from him.

California University of Pennsylvania QB Josh Portis visited the Miami Dolphins last week. That has been his lone visit thus far.

Latest Steelers Draft Buzz

http://cdn1.sbnation.com/entry_photo_images/904661/47119_texas_texas_tech_football.jpg

The NFL draft is quickly approaching, just 5 weeks away, and the Steelers are aggressively looking at the cornerback position with their focus expected to be on the cornerback position in rounds 2-3 and possibly round 1.

The team has begun scheduling draft visits and the team will host Texas CB Curtis Brown on March 30-31 for a two-day visit, a team source tells Inside Pittsburgh Sports.

Brown whose regarded as a 2nd round prospect, is a player the Steelers are said to be very high on.

Brown is a fit on several ends in regards to what the Steelers look for in cornerbacks.
Brown has good size at 6’0” 185, and is an above average run stopper, an attribute the Steelers regard highly with their corners.

Brown ran a 4.51 at the combine and posted a 39.5 inch vertical. His draft stock is on the rise.

Citadel cornerback Cortez Allen to visit Steelers in the first week of April

Tue, Mar 22nd, 2011 by DePaoli

The Pittsburgh Steelers intend to bring in at least 5-to-6 cornerbacks for official draft visits over the next month.

The team to this point has officially scheduled two visits for cornerbacks.

As previously reported on Monday, Texas cornerback Curtis Brown, a projected second round pick, will be in town for a two-day visit on March 30-31.

Citadel's Cortez Allen, a projected mid-round pick, is scheduled for a draft visit for the first week of April, Inside Pittsburgh Sports has learned.

Allen like Curtis Brown, has excellent size at 6-foot-1, 197-pounds. In the Steelers scheme, they eye corners with good size and the ability to be run stoppers.

Allen is coming off a strong combine, running a 4.50 forty-yard dash. His draft stock is said to be on the rise and many scouts have him projected as a 4th-5th round pick.

The Steelers have two cornerbacks under contract for next season, in Bryant McFadden and Crezdon Butler.

Ike Taylor and William Gay are free agents.

University of Tennessee-Chattanooga cornerback Buster Skrine is expected to make a pre-draft visit to Pittsburgh to visit with the Steelers prior to the NFL draft according to The National Football Post. Skrine conducted a private workout for the Ravens today, just one day after his Wednesday Pro Day work-out. In addition to the Steelers, Skrine also has visits scheduled with the Patriots, Browns and the Bengals. Skrine is a bit undersized at 5 foot 9 and a half, but had an excellent showing at the 2011 NFL Combine. Skrine is currently projected as a mid-round draft pick.

Phil Taylor to visit Jets, Steelers, Browns, five others

Baylor nose guard in high demand

by Aaron Wilson
MARCH 26, 2011

Massive Baylor nose guard Phil Taylor has eight upcoming official visits, including the New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

Taylor conducted three private workouts this week with the Browns, Chiefs and an undisclosed AFC playoff team.

Taylor is regarded as a rising prospect on draft boards, especially after the Senior Bowl where he shoved around blockers.

Taylor is a big, strong anchor at 6-foot-3, 334 pounds.

At the scouting combine, he ran the 40-yard dash in 5.09 seconds and bench pressed 225 pounds 31 times.

Taylor recorded 62 tackles, seven for losses and two sacks last season and was named second-team All-Big 12.

Taylor transferrred from Penn State after being suspended after a fight at the student union during a fraternity function.

A felony aggravated assault charge was eventually dropped, and Taylor didn't get into any trouble at Baylor and was named to the Big 12 Commissioner's honor roll.

During his first season in Waco, Taylor recorded 25 tackles 2 1/2 for losses, a half-sack, one interception and two blocked kicks.

Florida T Marcus Gilbert & FSU G Rodney Hudson Reportedly Will Visit Steelers

Two offensive lineman who played their college ball in the state of Florida will reportedly make pre-draft visits to Pittsburgh as Florida tackle Marcus Gilbert and Florida State guard Rodney Hudson reportedly have visits scheduled to the South Side. Gilbert played both tackle positions for the University of Florida this past season and made 30 career starts for the Gators, including all 13 games in 2010. Hudson was a four-year starter for the Seminoles at guard and projects as a guard/center type at the next level. Gilbert is projected as a 3rd or 4th round pick while Hudson is projected to be drafted sometime in the 2nd round.

Marsh measured in at 6 and a half feet at the NFL combine and ran an unofficial 4.46 40 time. Marsh reportedly also has visits scheduled with the Eagles and Dolphins as well. Marsh played just two seasons at corner for the Aggies after he switched from running back to cornerback during spring of 2009. In 2010 he started all 12 games at cornerback and earned second-team all-WAC honors. He ranked second in the WAC and sixth in FBS in passes defended with 15 including 2 interceptions. Marsh also recorded 45 total tackles in 2010 as well.

Auburn defensive tackle Zach Clayton has been scheduled for a visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

The visit is set for April 7.

He has previously visited the Indianapolis Colts and is scheduled to visit the San Diego Chargers in early April.

Clayton boosted his stock with a strong Pro Day campus workout.

The 6-foot-2, 299-pounder ran between 4.79 and 4.85 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

He also registered a 10-08 broad jump and bench pressed 225 pounds 27 times with a 33 1/2 inch vertical leap.

Clayton was congratulated by Denver Broncos coach John Fox during his workout.

Steelers' visiting prospects: SEC OTs Jarriel King, James Carpenter, Marcus Gilbert. I like Carpenter in 3rd. S 2 STOP

Ed: 3 OTs Visit Today, None a 1st-Rounder Friday, 01 April 2011 11:36 Written by Ed Bouchette

Three offensive tackles are visiting the Steelers today, which signals the real start of their 30 prospect visits.

The three tackles are Marcus Gilbert of Florida, James Carpenter of Alabama and Jarriel King of South Carolina. I’ve seen no one list any of them as first-rounders. As I blogged earlier, I believe the Steelers can get their tackle on the second round – maybe even the third – after going for their cornerback on the first round.

Gilbert goes 6-6, 330 and has all the physical attributes but I’ve seen the word “lazy” pegged next to his name. Carpenter is 6-4 ½, 320 with quick feet, a finesse blocker who can play left tackle. King is 6-5, 320 and is what scouts like to call a “down the line guy.’’ Don’t look for him to go in the top 3 or 4 rounds.

The first of the 30 visitors came a few weeks ago when Hampton defensive lineman Kenrick Ellis paid them a visit. He is a nose tackle – 6-5, 346.

Seven Pitt players also visited but they do not count toward the 30 they are allowed.

Austin Pettis to visit the Steelers next week

http://www.fantasycollegeblitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/Austin-Pettis1.bmp

Boise State wide receiver Austin Pettis is scheduled to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers next week, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

Pettis has drawn fourth-round and fifth-round grades from draft analysts.

Pettis ran the 40-yard dash in 4.56 seconds at the NFL scouting combine, but was extremely productive in college and has ideal size at 6-foot-3, 209 pounds.

The two-time first-team All-Western Athletic Conference selection is sure-handed, catching 71 passes last season for 951 yards and touchdoowns.

As a junior, he caught 65 passes for 855 yards and 14 touchdowns.

He ranks as Boise State's career leader with 229 receptions and 39 touchdowns, finishing second with 2,838 receiving yards.

The Broncos ranked second in scoring offense last season, averaging 46.67 points per contest last season.

In their Las Vegas Bowl win over Utah, Pettis caught 12 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown.

A private workout is different from an official visit.

For a private workout, the team goes to the player and works him out on the player's turf.

For an official visit, the team brings the player to team headquarters to show him around the facility, get to know him a bit better as a person, and perhaps to do another medical check with team doctors. There are no actual workouts permitted during official visits to team HQ.

Marshall pro day-

When Mario Harvey found out he was not among the invitees to last month’s NFL Scouting Combine, Marshall’s pro day emerged as this fiery linebacker’s key chance to show NFL teams what Marshall fans have raved about for ages.

Of the 12 Marshall players and one small-schooler who worked out for NFL personnel on March 16, it was Harvey who made the most of his opportunity.

The 5-foot-10 7/8, 250-pound fireplug registered a stirring 4.46 40-yard dash and put on a strong positional workout for onlookers, including a New England Patriots scout who took particular interest in the Thundering Herd defender. Harvey also logged a 32-inch vertical and 9-5 broad jump, with a 4.19-second short shuttle and 7.13 three-cone drill result.

Harvey is an aggressive, energetic, play-making defender — some NFL team will take a chance on him for his special-teams promise and potential on defense.

Ever since the season ended, Tennessee wide receiver Denarius Moore has boosted his draft stock into third-round to fourth-round consideration.

The latest example was his 4.37 in the 40-yard dash at his campus Pro Day workout after running a 4.43 at the NFL scouting combine to go with a 36-inch vertical leap, a 9-10 broad jump, a 1.55 10-yard split and 13 repetitions in the bench press.

Now, Moore is reaping some of the benefits of his athleticism with some face time with NFL teams.

He visited the Miami Dolphins over the past two days and visits the Pittsburgh Steelers later this week.

He has already visited the New York Giants and has conducted a private workout for the Atlanta Falcons. He also had a meeting with the Baltimore Ravens.

The nearly 6-foot, 194-pounder caught a touchdown pass in the Texas vs. the Nation all-star game.

As a senior, he caught 43 passes for nine touchdowns and 981 yards and averaged nearly 21 yards per reception.

As a junior, he caught 40 passes for 540 yards and seven touchdowns.

Report: Alabama A&M NT Kearse & Louisville CB Patrick To Have Pre Draft Visits With Steelers

Dale Lolley reported a little while ago that Alabama A&M nose tackle Frank Kearse and Louisville cornerback Johnny Patrick will make pre draft visits with the Steelers if they have not already. The Steelers have been more tight lipped this offseason about the players they bring to the South Side for official visits, but word continues to leak out.

Lolley also confirmed earlier reports that Boise State wide receiver Austin Pettis and Utah State cornerback Curtis Marsh are two of the 30 allowed visitors the Steelers will have prior to the draft.

Steelers scout Mark Gorscak was present for the Alabama A&M Pro Day in early March and the 6 foot 4, 315 pound defensive tackle certainly seems to be on the Steelers draft day radar. At his Pro day, Kearse logged a 5.2 40-yard dash, 30-inch vertical, 8-7 broad jump, and 22 225-pound bench press reps. with several. His other measurables included a 7 1/4 hand size, 34 1/4 arm length, and an 85 3/8 wingspan.

Patrick is regarded as a mid round corner prospect that measured in at 5 foot 10 and a half at the NFL Combine and weighed 191 pounds. He started every game as a senior last year and led the Cardinals with five interceptions. While at the combine he turned in a 40 time in the high 4.5 range, but lowered it below 4.5 at his Pro Day in early March. He had a charge of harassment with physical contact dismissed in mid March after he completed a diversion program that included counseling.

Interesting to note- 2010, the Steelers brought Pouncey & Sanders in near the very tail end of the visit dates. No player that visited early was drafted.

2009 & 2008 Steelers vists only resulted in late round picks with all the early round picks being players the Steelers WENT to, not brought in.

Reading The Tea Leaves Of The Steelers 2011 Visitors Thus Far

We are right about half way home to the 2011 NFL Draft and it is a perfect time to look over the pre draft visitors that the Steelers reportedly have had or will have visit the South Side prior to draft day. The organization has been more tight lipped thus far this offseason about their visitors, so there is a chance that it may include a false report or two, but should be fairly accurate up until this point. In addition, Jim Wexell tweeted not long ago today that they will likely loosen up on the policy soon, so more confirmation should be forthcoming.

An early look at the list confirms what many of us have thought for a while and that the Steelers seem poised to draft a cornerback somewhere in the first 3 rounds, as 6 of the 21 non local players that have visited or are scheduled to visit are cornerbacks. There likely will be a few more that are not yet confirmed by the media as well. The biggest names thus far on that list of corners are Curtis Brown from Texas and Ras-I Dowling from Virginia. Both are expected to come off the board in the first few rounds. I have made my feelings known on Brown in a recent post, but I doubt he will last until the Steelers scheduled pick in the second round. It is not out of the question that they trade out of round one to move down a few slots to land Brown either. I think he has the makings of a solid future NFL corner. The other corner prospects like Johnny Patrick, Curtis Marsh, Buster Skrine and Cortez Allen will likely start coming off the board from round 3 on. It would also not surprise me if more than one was drafted in the first 5 rounds either. Just throwing that out there.

With a handful nose tackles on the list it seems like the Steelers will at some point draft a guy they think and hope might be the heir apparent to Casey Hampton. Phil Taylor likely will come off the board some time in round 1, but he could easily slip to the early portion of round 2 without a surprise. Kenrick Ellis and Frank Kearse have certainly gotten the Steelers attention by several accounts and if the report of Anthony Gray visiting is true, you can certainly summize a mid to later round pick will be used for that position. Although Zach Clayton is listed as a defensive tackle, some think he could convert to a 5 technique defensive end in a 3-4. Clayton will likely be a round 7 or undrafted free agent possibilty.

Next up is wide receiver. As I mentioned in my receiver post a few days back, I think it is a near lock that they draft one around round 4 or later. Even though Jonathan Baldwin visited as a local player, I just can't see the Steelers spending an early pick on the position. Austin Pettis is more of a possesion type guy, while Denarius Moore can stretch the field. I suspect one or two more receivers might also make visits.

With 4 tackles already visiting the South Side, it looks like a strong possibility that one will be chosen in the earlier rounds. Marcus Gilbert played with Maurkice Pouncey at Florida, while James Carpenter Jr. and Jarriel King are also proven SEC tackles. I suspect at least one more tackle will visit prior to the draft, but it is looking good for at least one to be drafted from that position and likely by round 4.

You see a few running backs sprinkled on the list as Dion Lewis, Taiwan Jones and Da'rel Scott should all have made their visits over the next few weeks. The Steelers could use another back to help push Jonathan Dwyer and that back could be a late round selection destined for the practice squad. I can't see one being drafted though until the 4th round or later in reality. It just doesn't make sense to.

The Steelers love drafting linebackers so it is no surprise that Mario Harvey was brought in. Harvey also can play special teams and I would be surprised if at least one linebacker was not drafted later this month. Some scouts say defensive end Greg Romeus, from next door at Pitt, could be transitioned into a 3-4 outside linebacker as well. I suspect you will see another linebacker name surface on the visitor list very soon in addition to these two players.

Although interior lineman Rodney Hudson visited, I think the Steelers will wait until later in the draft to select a guard and they very well might not draft one at all unless by some miracle Mike Pouncey falls. The guard class this year is just not very deep in my opinion and the Steelers will likely just decide to stand pat with what is on the roster already and add another undrafted guard when and if the labor situation is settled. They also could kick the tires on a low profile unrestricted free agent as well by camp time.

By this time next week, we ought to have a near complete list of the 30 non-local players the Steelers are allowed to have visit prior to the draft. Last season the Steelers drafted 3 players that were 2010 pre draft visitors and in 2009 they drafted 4 that made trips to Pittsburgh prior to the draft. So keep a good eye out, because you can bet that a few players on this list are almost certain to be Steelers in a few more weeks.

Who has visited the Steelers thus far

Here's a list of 21 players who have visited the Steelers thus far or who will visit them in the next week or so.

NFL teams are permitted to bring in 30 prospects - not counting regional guys – so I'm not counting the guys from local colleges.

I'll rank them in order of what round it appears the player will be selected in.

Remember as well that Mike Tomlin has had more free time on his hands with the lockout and has personally attended a number of pro days - more than usual. For example, Tomlin has been at Wisconsin, Texas and North Carolina, to name a few, getting meetings with a number of their prospects without them being counted against the 30.

Cameron Jordan, DL, California, 1st round
Phil Taylor, DT, Baylor, 1-2
Rodney Hudson, C-G, Florida State, 1-2
Ras-I Dowling, CB, Virginia, 1-2
Curtis Brown, CB, Texas, 2
Kendrick Ellis, DT, Hampton, 2-3
James Carpenter, OT, Alabama, 2-3
Johnny Patrick, CB, Louisville, 2-3
Curtis Marsh, CB, Utah State, 3
Jarriel King, OT, South Carolina, 4
Austin Pettis, WR, Boise State, 4-5
Buster Skrine, CB, Tennessee-Chatanooga, 4-5
Da'rel Scott, RB, Maryland, 5-6
Denarius Moore, WR, Tennessee, 5-6
Taiwan Jones, RB, Eastern Washington, 5-6

Zach Clayton, DT, Auburn, 6
Mario Harvey, ILB, Marshall, 6-7

Hmmm, not a lot of late 3rd to 4th round projected players, does that mean a trade up somewhere in round 1 or 2 in the draft?

- Julius Thomas continues to build a buzz around himself as well as momentum up draft boards. He’s been working with former USC and NFL pass catcher Billy Miller on improving his game. Scouts not only love his athleticism but his smarts as well. Thomas has already graduated from Portland State. He has a workout scheduled with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

http://www.draftinsider.net/blog/?p=5189

Thomas is a raw prospect who was a basketball player until his senior season of college. Could develop into a reserve pass-catching tight end or H-Back. Is not a refined route-runner but has the physical tools to improve. Does a good job in his stem, can separate from man coverage, and get vertical up the seam, but rounds off routes and lacks the experience to get open against zone. Flashes the natural hands needed to extend but will drop the easy reception. Must improve as a blocker. Lacks power in the running game and polish in pass protection. Late-round prospect.

Speedy Marshall LB Mario Harvey on Steelers' radar

Linebacker ran in high 4.3, low 4.4 range

Aaron Wilson
APRIL 12, 2011

Speedy Marshall linebacker Mario Harvey was ultra-productive for the Thundering Herd, posting 420 career tackles.

However, the All-Conference USA selection really boosted his NFL draft prospects with an outstanding 40-yard dash time during his campus Pro Day workout. He ran between 4.42 and 4.46 seconds.

And the 5-foot-11, 250-pounder bench pressed 225 pounds 27 times with a 32 inch vertical leap, a 9-5 broad jump, a 4.19 short shuttle and a 7.13 three-cone drill.

The NFL definitely took notice.

Harvey has visits with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Arizona Cardinals and the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

The Baltimore Ravens are another team that has displayed interest in Harvey, who arrived at Marshall as an undersized freshman with academic issues.

Last season, he recorded 143 tackles, 17 1/2 for losses, 8 1/2 sacks, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

As a junior, he posted 117 tackles, 8 1/2 for losses, seven sacks and was named first-team all-conference.

Those combine stats and his playing stats are impressive, especially 17.5 for losses and 8.5 sacks . He is freaking unstoppable in that division. I wonder how he fared against division I teams. Regardless, with those stats, he proves he is better than D II and a play maker at it too. Would love to have him? Now where is he being projected?

Abilene Christian wide receiver Edmond Gates will make a pre draft visit to Pittsburgh early next week according to his draft journal. Gates ran in the low 4.3 range at the NFL Combine back in late February and measured in at 5 foot 11 and 3/4 inches while tipping the scales at 192 pounds. He is considered a raw talent, but can stretch the field. Like most young receivers, Gates needs to polish his route running, on-field awareness and blocking skills. In 2010 Gates had 66 catches for 1182 yards and 13 touchdowns. Gates is currently projected to be drafted in the 3rd or 4th round and will be a a 25-year-old rookie.

Report: Steelers To Have Pre Draft Visit With San Diego St. WR Vincent Brown

http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/San+Diego+State+v+UCLA+HRYyMgwb83Ql.jpg

Adam Caplan of Foxsports.com reported via Twitter that the Steelers are expected to have San Diego St. wide receiver Vincent Brown in for a pre draft visit tomorrow. Brown measured in at 5 foot 11 and 1/4 at the NFL Combine where he had a rough showing. He had hoped to run the 40 in the 4.4 or low 4.5 range, but instead ran in the high 4.6, low 4.7 range and his draft stock dropped because of it. He improved his time to the high 4.5 range at his Pro Day in late March. Brown is currently projected as a mid round draft pick later this month.

UPDATED Page 1

Most or all of the Rumored visits have been said to be scheduled but we don't have any official confirmation. The players said they had visits scheduled with the team but no date was given. That is why they are still shown as rumor. Right now the lists have 40 players. 7 are local and 2 are individual workouts, not an official visit towards the 30.

Only 17 official visits this year?

The team has been more tight-lipped about who they have officially brought in this year. We have rumors about more than that (as indicated), but not actual confirmation in the Pittsburgh newspapers like in year's past, for whatever reason.

Yeah it's an odd year. More than likely has to do with the lockout and the Steelers not being able to fill some needs via Free Agency (signing their own really). Every year we typically go with BPA, but I'm thinking Colbert/Tomlin are staying quiet here due to the want to fill a need.

Which is why I think Bouchette is predicting Aaron Williams soley based on mock drafts and not what he's actually hearing this time around.

Interesting that Marcus Gilbert, Curtis Brown, and Cortez Allen all visited the South Side HQ prior to the draft. Plus Colbert, Tomlin, and LeBeau went to Columbus to check out Cam Heyward. Not too much smokescreenery this year...

According to Baron Batch, he was in for a visit. I will add him to the rumor list since we never received and official from the team.
