View Full Version : Is this parity?

Or what in the hell is this?

In 2005, the Steelers did something I thought to be amazing, something that had never been done, and would be a while before it's done again, or so I thought.

Since they won 3 games in a row on the road, and finished it off with a ring, the Giants did it two years later, and now the Packers do it, 3 years after that.

Is there a reason two 10-6 teams have won the Super Bowl in 4 years, after only one 10-6 team won it before 2007? Not to mention a 9-7 team making it in between, after only one made it before?

Why does homefield, top seeds, whatever, not mean as much as before? Literally ANYBODY can win it now, just make the playoffs.

In the 70s, some 6 seed getting past Oakland, Pittsburgh, and Dallas to win a title just didn't happen.

In the 80s, you weren't going through New York, San Fran, and Washington on your way to a ring.

In the 90s, sorry, but to go on the road to beat Dallas, San Fran, and Green Bay was just asking too much.

Is that parity?
