Early reports are Tomlin isn't saying. What I read on another board.
EDIT: Here is what is on the other board "Tomlin won't tell reporters if he practiced according to NFL.com. Maybe he's bending the Friday rule?"
Also " Touch and Wolf are reporting they seen him last night and he was without crutches or his boot and he was walking fine without a limp"
They're waiting for the only pool reporter allowed into practice today to come out and give an update..

Pouncey was fine all along. Just rolled his ankle and they were being cautious. Wanted Green Bay to waste time gameplanning to attack the middle of our line.
We are gonna run the ball on these chumps.
He did not practice today, so he's out.

Tomlin told Kolber he did not practice today and is ruled out. :?
Feel very bad for that kid. He worked his tail off this year.

Tweet from Wexell said "Suzy Kolber said Pouncey did not practice."

That sucks. Let the fire burn inside him to get back to the bowl and turn into more of a beast this offseason. Great season from him!
Let's get it done Doug.

Undrafted kid, not considered a starter at the beginning of the year, now starting in the Superbowl at a position he has NEVER started at ...
this is where dreams of a lifetime are made.
Go get 'em kid - the future is yours!
P.S. The Jets front line wasn't too shabby - he's shown he can DO it!!

I'm gonna laugh when they declare him a starter on Saturday night. Then report Sunday morning that he re-tweeked it and is a game time decision.

Tomlin confirms that Maurkice Pouncey is out

The speculation about Pittsburgh center Maurkice Pouncey’s status for Sunday can finally end.
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin told Suzy Kolber of ESPN Friday that Pouncey is out for the Super Bowl after missing practice again on Friday. Throughout the week, Pouncey said there was a “75% chance” that he would play.
That estimation ran counter to multiple reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that Pouncey would not play, and truly had no chance to play.
As John Madden discussed on Friday’s PFT Live, backup Doug Legursky will now have to make the protection calls for the Steelers. Lugursky will have to handle B.J. Raji, but Madden believes his protection calls and Ben Roethlisberger’s comfort with a new center are even bigger factors.

The question now becomes, with Scott-Kemoeatu-Legursky-Foster-Adams as our starting o-line, who dresses as our 7th OL along with Essex?
Tony Hills or Chris Scott?
Scott has more positional flexibility, but he's never dressed for a single game before since he started the year on PUP (not preseason, not regular season, not postseason...it would be unbelieveable for the kid for the first time he dresses to be in the Super Bowl).

I'm sure it will be Tony Hills...
