'Madden NFL' prediction: Steelers to win Super Bowl

The Pittsburgh Steelers will snag their seventh Super Bowl title this weekend in Dallas -- at least according to Madden NFL 11.

Electronic Arts has unveiled its annual prediction for the outcome of Super Bowl XLV, based on a simulation of the game run through Madden.

The results? The Steelers hang on to defeat the Green Bay Packers 24-20, thanks to a late interception by Aaron Rodgers in the closing moments.

Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace finished as the Super Bowl MVP with five catches for 111 yards and the game-winning touchdown.

Before casting doubt on the accuracy of these prognostications, the Madden NFL simulations have had a pretty strong track record in recent years. EA Sports has nailed down the winner of the Super Bowl six of the past seven years, including last year.

The lone miss happened during Super Bowl XLII, when the New York Giants upset the New England Patriots.

"Told you I did. Reckless is he. Now, matters are worse."

We are screwed now that Madden predicted this. 8)

I take it though, that Madden NFL predicted the Steelers to win vs. Arizona too since it's only gaffe lately was the Giants win.

Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace finished as the Super Bowl MVP with five catches for 111 yards and the game-winning touchdown.

No doubt despite the fact that Ben went 24-29 for 275 2 TD and 0 INT while running for four crucial first downs.

Madden NFL simulates biased Media. It's a feature.

It was added the year Goodell became commissioner.

Which just made me think, "why can't Goodell be on the cover of Madden?" It would be a shame to see him suffer a career-ending injury.

NostraDumbo -- Elephant Picks Steelers in Super Bowl

2/2/2011 by TMZ Staff

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a LOCK to defeat the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl ... so says Angeline the Elephant.

The two-ton oracle made her official prediction today at a Steelers pep rally at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium.

Among the festivities -- zoo officials fed their resident polar bears out of giant barrels filled with cream cheese ... barrels that were decorated with Aaron Rodgers' jersey number.

It's getting serious.

I played my version of the Madden Super Bowl tonight!!!

Steelers 31
Packers 6

Ben threw for 315 and two TD's
Mendenhall ran for 107 and two TD's
Wallace had 3 for 70 and one long TD
Sanders had 106 on 4 catches
Miller had 5 for 114 and a TD

Rodgers moved the ball but the D always seemed to stand up at the right time just outside of FG range. Starks had 60 yards on 20 carries but overall the Steeler D did fine with William Gay getting 2 INT's and the team recording 4 sacks.

This made me feel a lot better about the game, even though it seems stupid. I have played every playoff game during the week before this year and the team and I have won every week. This is the one that was more lopsided than any. I think the Packers may be in trouble???

Oh yeah....#7 won the MVP....WOOHOO
