Not sure if I would like or hate this draft. Seems to address some of the needs we have, although I don't think we would go RB in round 3, but I don't know much about the players themselves. I also don't know about what rounds some of these guys would really be projected to go. This site has Pouncey's brother going mid 2nd round for instance.

Anyway, something to look at to pass time till the SB is here.

Round 1 - ROT - Marcus Cannon - TCU - 6'5" 350lbs
Huge player but couldn't really find video on him. Remember watching TCU a few times this season and thought their OT's looked interesting due to the pass blocking abilities they showed.

Round 2 - 34OLB - Jeremy Beal - Oklahoma - 6'3" 260lbs
Video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFDyZR1z6UM
They line him up all over the place and he is in coverage some, ala Woodley. Seems he could get better filtering through traffic. Sometimes in this video he gets caught up in the wash.

Round 3 - RB - Daniel Thomas - Kansas State - 6'2" 228lbs
Video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBld17O-d8E
Thomas looks like a shifty back but runs a little upright. Do we need another RB with Dwyer on the team?

Round 4 - TE - Rob Housler - Florida Atlantic - 6'5" 236lbs
Video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHbOuF2vTZs
Interesting as he could be a big target for Ben, but our 2nd TE usually is the blocking TE since Heath is more the receiving target. Would be tough for a defense to focus on both TE's though if we went to a little more of a wide open offense under Randy Fichtner (if he takes over as OC).

Round 5 - LOT - Willie Smith - East Carolina - 6'5" 290lbs

Round 6 - CB - Rashad Carmichael - Virginia Tech - 5'11" 190lbs

Round 7 - 34DE - Lawrence Marsh - Florida - 6'4" 290lbs

I'm liking Cannon more and more, but the rest of the draft is junk. Cannon may be available too in Round 2 depending on his combine performance.

No way we take a RB in Round 3. No way Carmichael is there in Round 6.

I do like taking another TE.

Outside of Round 1 (and Round 6 is a daydream),

This site obviously lives in a dream world of delusion.

I love the science behind drafttek. It is a great model and the engine running it is really cool. Users can design their own mock drafts based on a formula of need, certain players they want to target, and BPA tweaked and rated by the user.

Unfortunately, the folks who run drafttek misvalue their players every year to a degree that is totally out of whack with what most pundits think. It ruins the quality of their model.

I like taking another TE too. Andre Smith from Va Tech is the best blocker in the draft and is also a red zone threat. Would take him in the 4th....but he may be gone by then.
