BARABOO, Wis. – In conjunction with the Green Bay Packers, McArthur Towel & Sports – a WinCraft company, has unveiled the design of the new Packers Titletown Towel in commemoration of Super Bowl XLV.

The new towel features the Super Bowl date, location and Titletown slogan. The Packers’ logo is the center point of the commemorative item.

“We are excited to offer this rally towel for all of our faithful fans,” said Kandi Goltz, Green Bay Packers game and fan development manager. “We want fans to display the G-Force pride to help the team get ready for the biggest game of the year.”

The original Title Towel debuted in the fall of 1996 and followed the Packers to their Super Bowl XXXI Championship in 1997. This piece of gold-waving terrycloth became a must-have item in the Midwest and was embraced by Packers fans across the nation.

“The Titletown towel is back and Packer fans will now have an opportunity to own another piece of Super Bowl history,” said Gregg McArthur, president of McArthur Towel & Sports. “The fan towel has become a great football tradition.”

The Titletown Towel will be available at the Packer Pro Shop, Shopko and other fine retailers

so weak!! how'd they feel if we walked around dallas with an inflated cheese perogie head? guess that's what happens when you outsource everything, Jerome could've been cooking up our own homegrown terrible towels in his basement for half the cost.

Couldn't they come up with something a little more original like maybe a Titletown Turban or a Titletown Tablecloth?

Could this be considered "mocking/disrespecting" the towel? If so, I like our chances. :D :tt2

Considering how much I respect I have for the Packers franchise (which is immense), this is beyond pathetically sad. For all of the tradition and history that they have, is this really necessary?

That's about as F'n lame as it gets. No, they could of really made it super gay and had a gold one instead of white and puke green.

Several Blue and White "Terrific Towels" were made for the Indianapolis Colts' in the 2009 season playoffs, one of which received some airtime during their AFC championship victory. The Colts subsequently lost Super Bowl XLIV to the New Orleans Saints.

The Packers just sealed themselves a spot in the history of the Terrible Curse with this move!

Yeah, I'll take this as disrespect on the Terrible Towel.

There can be only one...and we own it. :tt1

I would consider NOT bringing up the "titletown" reference when the team you are playing has twice as many as does your franchise. And the "league" championships don't count here boys. Doesn't work for Cleveland, and it doesn't work for you.

That is beyond lame.

We should go with a bunch of stupid Steel Girder foam things on our heads.

It's been copied before, and look where that got 'em.... :brownssuck

Silly Goose, there's only one Towel!
