Chicago 20 Green Bay 17--I think Chicago gets the upset.

Steelers versus Bears in Super Bowl. Steelers win #7 and drive the media talking heads insane. Most importantly Goodell has to hand the Lombardi to Ben and congratulate him in front of a billion fans.

Don't care in the NFC....we play whoever we have to.

We stuff the run and force Sanchez to try and win it. With the game on his shoulders, the Jets score only field goals.

Steelers 24, Jets 9

In the NFC, I simply trust Aaron Rodgers more than I trust Jay Cutler.

Packers 28, Bears 17

Steelers - 19 Jets - 11

Odd score...but I think it will be defensive game. Jets get a late TD and 2 pt conversion in comeback attempt, but fall short.

Bears - 24 Packers - 21

Everybody in the media are handing this game to the Packers in a virtual cakewalk. In a total reversal of thinking for me, I think the Bears win. All season I've been on the Packers to do pretty well and that the Bears OL problems won't let them last. Well, I think Packers have peaked and Bears OL has been mildly solid lately. Both those factors combined make me lean towards the home team here.

I'd like to see an AFCC like the '05 one v. Denver. It was over at halftime. The chance to actually breathe and enjoy a game would be welcome!!!

I'm always wrong when I make a prediction. No one will ever confuse me with the Great Kreskin.

and last time they held us... literally.

It all comes down to our OL and Heath Miller... Spaeth dropped about 3 to 4 passes last Jets game.

These are going to be two very close, hard fought games, despite what the media is saying about the Packers easily defeating the Bears. The teams that protect the ball on Sunday will move on.

I agree about the Bears and Packers. The Packers only managed 10 points against the Bears AT HOME, during a win and your in game. Now they go on the road.

I think the Packers win, because Rodgers is better than Cutler, but its not going to be a blow out.

I really feel like we can beat them by more than one score.

Also, love to see the Cutlers in the big show. Hope the pack chokes.

We are going to a Packers fan club with a buddy before our game. Should be fun.

Prognosticators pick Steelers to win

By Jason Cato, PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW
Saturday, January 22, 2011

The stars are aligned for a Steelers win Sunday over New York, according to a Pittsburgh psychic, a prognosticating Chicago nun and a couple shakes of a Magic 8 Ball.

Even a New Jersey fortune teller and diehard Jets fan saw her team going down until a change of heart ... or cards.

"It's good news for you this weekend, but bad news for my beloved Bears," said Sister Jean Kenny, a Catholic nun who has predicted playoff games and Super Bowls since 1986. "'Sizzling Steelers Jolt Jets,' that's the headline."

Psychic Dina of Jersey City initially predicted that her favorite team would fall to the Steelers just as she did a week earlier against the New England Patriots.

"This is what I'm seeing psychically," Dina said.

She called back with a different mystical forecast.

"It's the Jets who are going to win. They are going to the Super Bowl," Dina said, after double-checking her cards. "I'm very sorry. I know the Steelers are from there, and I wish it was your time. But the Jets are going to win."

Marjorie Augustine Rivera, who runs Castle Shannon's Divine Wisdom Shop, sees a different outcome.

"Absolutely, I think the Steelers are going to win," Rivera said.

Her psychic feeling is that this is the "year of redemption," she said, and Ben Roethlisberger wants to make up for off-field problems before the season by winning another Super Bowl. No. 7 factors into a pattern of numbers Rivera sees making a difference. The Steelers will play for their 7th Super Bowl title after beating the Jets by seven, she said.

"I have this feeling that we have a lot energy and momentum behind us right now," Rivera said. "We can't be stopped."

Mattel's Magic 8 Ball backed up Sister Jean and Rivera.

Asked "Will the Steelers win on Sunday?" a simulated ball on the company's website answered, "As I see it, yes," and an actual ball responded, "Very likely."

Sister Jean, sometimes called the "Psychic Nun," said her predictions are the result of analytical homework, not a clairvoyant gift or divine power. She picks teams after analyzing statistics from Pro Football Weekly, or "the gospel of NFL notes," as she calls it.

She picked the Steelers to beat the Arizona Cardinals 23-17 in Super Bowl XLIII. Pittsburgh won 27-23. She is 18-7 in Super Bowl predictions.

"That speaks for itself," she said.

Although the Steelers and Jets have lavished each other with praise instead of trash talk this week, she said Pittsburgh will do all the talking Sunday night.

"You heard it here first from Sister Jean, the Super Bowl queen."

That's some Pulitzer-Prize-worthy reporting by Cato right there. I'll be sure to bet my mortgage on the word of a nun, a psychic, and a magic 8 ball (there is definitely a joke in there somewhere).

Too bad the octopus that picked World Cup games is dead. Then it would be settled once and for all.

The Steelers will dominate this game from the outset! Tomlinson and Greene will be stuffed early and often and Sanchez will be forced to try to win the game on his own. Don't be surprised if the Jets answer an early Steeler TD with one of their own but as the game wears on Sanchez will make more and more mistakes and the Steel Curtain will take advantage of it. Manny Sanders and Heath Miller will have big days as Ben finds secondary targets and moves the ball with consistency on the Jets D. Mendenhall will have a serviceable day and will get a couple of TD's on the board.

Look out Dallas.....here comes Steelers Nation for Super Bowl XLV
