Postseason—
Bill Cohwer----3-4
Mike Tomlin---3-1
So there it is..........I said it.

But then the regular season record for Tomlin will change as well. Think about it. This is to show how these two coaches have done in their first 4 years as head coach.

I was thinking this was going to be the final score in the AFCCG ... with the Steelers on top, of course, and 2 TDs given up in garbage time as the starters get the whole second half off. :tt2

What's with the imperfect tense* there, SteelAbility?? I'm with your initial impression, EXACTLY :Agree - that WILL BE our winning score as the clock ticks zero in Boston in 3 weeks, baby!!

Excellent grammar lesson, but you should consider an investigation into the venue for the AFCC game if the top seed holds serve.
The Patriots don't play in Boston.
Perhaps a remedial geography lesson is in order.

Nothing personal tiproast, but in my mind the distinction between Foxboro and Boston is just a deceptive attempt to distract attention from the fact that all 3 organizations (Patriots*/Celtics/Redsox) are just the Three Heads of the Beast, and that everyone associated with them, and their fans, are simply spawn of the  .
Beyond that, I'm sure you're a swell guy!! :D
To be fair to Cowher, he had Neil O'Donnell... Tomlin inherited Ben Roethlisberger.

Thanks for the compliment, but it was actually the 1st thing that pops up when you type "Spy gate Patriots* Cheating" into google. Give it a try, it's fun!! That's gotta be a great feeling as a fan, I'd imagine!
I heard Kraft is lobbying the owners hard to get the asterisks removed from the official records for the SBs you guys "won". Good luck with that!
P.S. Is that a cartoon of the young Bellicheat developing spy cameras and locker room recording equipment? :moon

You're trying a little too hard. It's more effective to tweak an opposing fan on your message board if you insert the needle a little more subtly.

Sorry, as a "benighted Steeler fan", I don't even know how to spell subtly, much less what it means. Does it refer to a filming technique?

Better, but it strains credulity that you would claim ineptness in spelling in light of your previous post where you were handing out grammar lessons.

We don't have any justification. We don't need any justification. We don't have to show you any stinkin' justification! (For the benefit of those that don't recognize the allusion, it's from the film "Treasure of The Sierra Madre.")
But why would we give up our allegiance? Because Belichick filmed the Jets in exactly the same way the Jets filmed the Pats? Why do you think Goodell destroyed the tapes the Pats turned over? Those tapes were the reason Belichick felt comfortable that he could get away with filming the Jets - they showed the Jets taping from an unauthorized location, too. What team did Goodell work for before he became commissioner?
You guys in Pittsburgh have a good reason to not like Goodell, because he's continually eroding the physical nature of the game, and that's something the Steelers franchise has embodied since the Steel Curtain days. But your enmity for Goodell pales in comparison to what Pats fans feel for him.
Sorry about the vocabulary - not trying to show off, it's just the way I write.

Interesting take Tip.
I still think there is more stink of cheat on the Pats* that was not looked into, but that in no way means that the jets are innocent.
Goodell never looked into a lot of allusions and we seem to have been a team that suffered from it big. That and the halo around Marsha that CANNOT be broken, oh yeah, and the refs giving Marsha every flag he whines for, and the tuck rule, and the non action we can see over the Peyton concern about mics in the locker room, and the BS about the taping of the Rams SB practice, and the rules being rewritten mid season which favor the softer teams like the Pats*, etc.
This is a partial list of reasons I hate Bellicheat and Marsha and NoGoodell. They all swim in the same slime filled sewer as far as I can tell.
You seem alright, though.

I won't address all your points, but I would like you to recall that it was the Colts complaining about the Pats DBs playing like Mel Blount in the 2003 playoff season that started the current march toward flag football (pun intended).

Hey Tip - that is called wishful thinking, or probably better, magical thinking: "If I make things up about how everybody else did bad things too, then maybe it'll turn true that my team and my coach really aren't a bunch of sleazy cheaters!". You really think Mangini would have turned Bellicheck in to the league with a film that showed Mangini's staff doing illegal taping also? Mangini may not be a mangenious, but I doubt even that guy is that stupid. ( :brownssuck )
Hey it's OK, if I were a Pats* fan, I'd probably be :Blah like that or worse, trying to convince myself and others that my team and my coach really aren't "benighted" (I had to look it up, your Steeler Fan description ... as it turns out it seems one of the definitions is "morally ignorant" ... imagine that!).
BTW - Goodell worked as a friggin intern for one year with the Jets right out of college. Your bringing this up excuses/explains/justifies/rationalizes your team's and your coach's cheating ... how?
Anyway, thanks for the chat, it really made my evening of paying bills fun. And, in conclusion, regarding your thoughts and comments:

To be fair to Cowher, he had Neil O'Donnell... Tomlin inherited Ben Roethlisberger.
That was all by choice for Cowher. It took him how long to realize he needed a franchise QB to win a championship? That is part of negative post-season record.

Uh, the original post was comparing their first four years.
First of all, franchise QB's don't grow on trees. O'Donnell was drafted in '90 if I recall; Cowher got there for the '92 season. He could've wasted his first draft pick on Klingler--would you have wanted him to do that? In '93, we drafted late and picked Figures. What do you suggest we should have done--trade up for Bledsoe or Mirer?
The next year was the Heath Shuler/Trent Dilfer draft, where we picked CJ in the middle of the 1st round. Where is this franchise QB you see? And in '95 we picked Bruener at the end of the round. Again, I see no viable franchise QB.
Bottom line: O'Donnell was the card dealt him. O'Donnell was pretty much the best option he had: he (Neil) was young, with potential, and fit Cowher's game plan well (judicious with the ball, game manager). He tried to go with him, and realized he needed to move on. That period (from '96-'04) was basically him trying to make chicken salad out of chicken feathers. Again, maybe you see franchise QB's growing on trees... I don't.
Maybe you can name one instance where Cowher had the chance to draft an apparent franchise QB (i.e. first round pick) and passed it up.
