Anyone watching?? Tolbert knocked out from the Chokers and thus far the Bungals are stifling them. Although I know the chargers can turn it up quickly.. But it's interesting thus far. I want the Bungals to win and eliminate the chargers, building up to them doing some dirty work against Ratbirds next week.. :Clap

it's the 2nd quarter and the Chargers don't even have a 1st down yet...

I hear the typewriter ... click ... clack ... putting together a contract for Norvy to be a Steeler OC!

Norv turned the Steelers down once. He may not get a second chance.

Good. Who wants him anyway?

I'll take Kubiak or Bevell over him in a heartbeat. The last thing we need is more wussy offensive schemes. Someone needs to come in and do what's best for the offense.

Norv is a loser. If someone else hires him as a head coach if SD fires him then they need their heads examined.

Philip Rivers is a loser. I am tired of hearing about him. Whenever there is a big game and he needs to step up, he folds like a cheap suit.

Rivers is an overrated sloth. Like I said before the season, no LT, no Vince Jackson, lets see what he does.

And, he did what I expected him to do. He's the King of scrap time.

Ben keeps losing receivers and parts all around him, and he keeps producing.

the only good thing about Norv Turner is that he does have a pretty hot daughter...

I seem to remember a new poster here making a thread on another board when Rivers won the first head to head matchup with Ben.

Since that time? Ben is 3-0 vs. Rivers, Ben is 3-1 (1-0 vs. Rivers) in the playoffs and has another ring.

What's Rivers have? Oh that's right. He has nothing but fantasy stats.

Can you imagine how bad we'd be with Rivers' pop gun arm dealing with Heinz Field winds every season?

No "elite QB" candidate pisses me off more than when Rivers is listed above Ben. I've ranted on this before, but everything that Ben gets reduced for, Rivers has had.

Rivers has had a good D for most of his career
Rivers has had the best RB of the decade until this year
Rivers has had one of the top two TE's in the game throughout his career
Rivers plays in a warm weather city which is ideal for putting up numbers
Rivers has played in one of the worst two divisions in the league throughout most of his career
Rivers got to sit and be tutored by Drew Brees for two years, and Doug Flutie for one of those as well

Bottom line is that if Ben throws for 200 yards in a rainstorm and we win 17-13 on the same day that Rivers throws for 400 in a 38-35 loss then all you will hear about is the great day that Rivers had.

did you know that Terry Bradshaw recently ranked the Top 10 QBs under the age of 30 and ranked Ben #2, behind Philip Rivers? :wft

Terry Bradshaw's Top 10 QBs under 30

By Sean Jensen on November 30, 2010

Hall of fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw, now a Fox analyst, provided his list of top 10 quarterbacks under the age of 30 before Sunday's games. Bears quarterback Jay Cutler didn't make his list.

Trying to be fair and impartial, I just don't see how that's possible, especially given his comments on a few of them. But Bradshaw's sort of like that cooky uncle everyone kind of tolerates and expects to make statements intended to elicit a reaction.

Here's his list:

RANK QUARTERBACK TEAM AGE RATING 2010 TEAM RECORD

1 Philip Rivers Chargers 28 104.9 6-5
2 Ben Roethlisberger Steelers 28 99.1 8-3
3 Aaron Rodgers Packers 26 97.4 7-4
4 Matt Ryan Falcons 25 94.4 9-2
5 Sam Bradford Rams 23 82.0 5-6
6 Joe Flacco Ravens 25 93.2 8-3
7 Mark Sanchez Jets 24 81.9 9-2
8 Josh Freeman Buccaneers 22 89.3 7-4
9 Eli Manning Giants 29 90.3 7-4
10 Matt Schaub Texans 29 92.6 5-6

Hahahaha! I'm laughing my butt off. The Chargers fired Marty Schottemheimer after a 14-2 season so they could get further in the playoffs and they hired that fraud Norv Turner with which to do it. His results.....

2007=2 playoff wins
2008=1 playoff win
2009=0 playoff win
2010=no playoffs.

The guy was given a great team with great talent that puts up great fantasy numbers but has no heart and shows us every year that he can get the least out of his players...lol

Phil Rivers = Carson Palmer = Losers

Overrated stats generators who the media falls in love with because they give them highlights for the 24/7 sports media machine but both are overhyped losers

the simple fact that Mark Sanchez is ranked #7 blows all validity of this ranking.

I love TB but he regularly talks out of his rump. My best guess is that he spent 17 seconds on that list about 4 minutes before he said it.
