It seems to me that the best outcome would be the Jets beating the Patriots and then us beating the Jets in iwo weeks. Thoughts???

Of course we need to deal with the Bumgals. This week's game will be the equivalent of their Super Bowl so hopefully we don't have an emotional letdown.

Since we won last night? Root for the Jets.

yep, we lost to the patsies so they need to lose tonight. then we beat the jets. that gives us a shot at the #1 seed. I think though realistically, we need to win 3 of the last 4.

If the Jets win tonight then we control our own destiny. Easy choice.

Wow, I would think that the Jets and Steelers both have pretty good D's and the Pat's* seem to be able to drive in the 1st Q's against both like a hot knife through butter.

There is actually a big negative associated with the Jets beating the Pats and us beating the Jets to get the 1 seed. The Jets would finish with the 2 and NE would finish with the 5, meaning that there would be a very good chance we would end up getting NE on that first home playoff game. It's a moot point now, since the score is 45-3 in the 4thQ.

IMO, the best scenario at this point is NE with the 1 seed, PIT with the 2 seed, ... ..., BAL with the 5 seed. Then there is a very good chance NE gets BAL in their 1st home playoff game with:

BAL over the AFCW winner (5 over 4) and the AFCS winner beating the 6 seed (3 over 6).

BAL has the D to slow down NE as well as an O that can score decently on NE.

To get the 1 seed at this point, we would have to outdo NE by 2 games in the final four weeks. They have a tough schedule, actually, but I don't see them dropping more than 1.

The Ravens played them well because the Ravens D-Line was tough, same with the Browns. Here's the deal - you gotta punch Brady in the mouth & beat his WRs up on the line...or turn it into a track meet like the GB game from last season

I think that the wild card teams from the North and East (currently Ravens and Jets) will beat the division champs from the West and South (currently Chiefs and Jaguars) on the road in the opening weekend of the playoffs. I think the AFC Divisional Round will feature NE, PIT, NYJ, and BAL playing against each other in some form or fashion (Ravens in New England and Jets in Pittsburgh or something like that).
