I have a feeling we might see Butler next week.

BMac is by far the worst corner in the NFL... but what's worse is that we continue to start him. He makes any QB and WR tandem look like Montana/Rice. Like most on the board have intimated, this offseason we need to only entertain 6 letters... CB, DL and OL.

yeah, it's hard to believe that we can't find someone better. I know we play off at the corners so that the CB's can see and help support the run, but I never see McFadden do anything on run plays AND his coverage skills are lame.

He's a bad corner for a team that needs him to shadow receivers all over the field. What he can do and did it tonight is make tackles after a receiver makes a catch. He had a horrible night to be sure, but there were at least two plays where he saved a huge gain and possibly TDs with good solid tackles. You won't see anyone other than him unless he gets hurt.

I'm struggling to remember. When was the last time we drafted a corner in the top rounds? Was it Carnell Lake? I honestly think next years draft is all about O-line and DB's. draft 9 of them and hope for a few diamonds in the rough.

Seriously. could Butler be any worse? Why in the hell couldn't the Cardinals have rejected our trade offer????

we'll I do believe we are stuck with bMac, but maybe it helps us.. With him on the field at least we know now where the freaking ball is going.

lake was drafted as a safety

chad scott most likely.

then you have two 2nd rounders in coclough and mcfadden. clearly an area that needs an infusion of talent

Sad thing is that corners in our scheme aren't asked to be great cover guys (i.e. tremendous athletes that tend to get picked early). Our scheme wants heady, dependable guys who keep things in front, are assignment sound, and tackle well. You'd like to think we could find these kind of guys in decent supply.

I would recommend bringing in a legit veteran FA #2 corner. We need someone who can play now.

As for the draft it's looking like:

1) OL
2) OL/CB
3) CB/OL
4) DL

I really don't ever remember our CB's running this much man2man.

IKE can play man 2 man but BMAC can't.

What was that pushing the receiver out of bounds for the flag on the last drive about? Was there any conceivable reason for a player to do that, besides just going insane with the knowledge they are so incredibly bad?

BMac makes tackles and plays well when there's a pass rush. Any CB will give up a TD when he has to cover for 8.5 seconds with no QB pressure.

It's the pressure.

Not the DBs.

BMac can work when the system works.
