What a total joke....this was a perfectly legal hit.

Steelers linebacker James Harrison was fined by the NFL another $25,000 today, this time for a roughing-the-passer penalty Sunday on Buffalo quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Post-Gazette has learned.
That brings Harrison's total fines this season to four for $125,000.

He should have just ripped his helmet off and punched him a few times.

Oh well, what it is- it is.... If they keep coming, so be it. Yea, I'd just rip the helmets off at this point.

How can the NFL front offices not see how ridiculous and idiotic they appear to the outside world?
Are they that insulated from the real world that they don't see that the NFL has become the laughing stock?
How about the owners? Their vested interest in this billion dollar business is rather high and, yet, I haven't heard one owner or organization say a word about about the inanity of this all.
The NFLPA? Huh, what kind of union allows this to happen? This whole new world order of the NFL is all wrong.
Harrison, gets 25K for playing football and Finnegan and Johnson get 25K for boxing and Seymour gets whatever minuscule fine he received for walking up to a player and hitting him, okay, it all makes sense to me now.

guess Deebo only got fined $25k because he didn’t use his full body weight... :moon
next time he should just take the QBs knees out, that seems to be okay with Roger.

NFL fines James Harrison $25,000
Posted by Michael David Smith on November 30, 2010, 3:50 PM EST
Another week, another hefty fine for Steelers linebacker James Harrison.
Harrison was informed that he has been fined $25,000 today for a roughing-the-passer penalty in Sunday’s game against the Bills, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting.
Harrison’s latest hit was a shot to Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. He previously has been fined $75,000 for a hit on Browns receiver Mohamed Massaquoi, $20,000 for a hit on Saints quarterback Drew Brees and $5,000 for a hit on Titans quarterback Vince Young.
So for those keeping track, that’s $125,000 for four hits this season.
This is getting to be beyond rediculous. Again, there were no flags and fines for any of the Bills players who were attempting to turn Ben into a human pretzel after he was clearly down. I'm about to climb the clock tower!

James Harrison Should Punch Somebody And Get His Money’s Worth
Posted on November 30, 2010 by adam
Here’s some news that is sure to shock you: James Harrison was fined $25,000 for his hit on Ryan Fitzpatrick against the Bills on Sunday. If you’re keeping track at home, that’s the same amount of money Oakland’s Richard Seymour was fined for sucker punching Ben Roethlisberger after a play, and the same amount Tennessee’s Cortland Finnegan and Houston’s Andre Johnson were fined for their helmet-less fist fight on Sunday.

Apparently the Rooneys have no balls.
The Rooneys aren't throwing the flags and issuing the fines.

They're also not standing up for their players.

News break: Steeler D will protest this Sunday in the wake of #92 latest fine by hitting harder and more vicious. Since they fine either way!

A very clean, within the rules, outstanding football play, and incredibly fined $25,000 for it?
An all-out after-the-whistle brawl with helmets yanked off by the face masks, multiple punches thrown to the heads, and fined only $25,000 for it?
An after-the whistle sucker punch to the face, and fined only $25,000 for it?
One is the same as the next?
Goodell and his minions are destroying the credibility of the NFL. The owners must put an end to this.

The game isn't played in slo-mo or in freeze frame like this.
However, this photo looks incriminating. I guess a player pretty much has to hit the other player completely vertical and not use the top. It's dammed if you do and dammed if you don't. If Harrison would have not used the top part of the helmet he would have hit Fitz H2H for sure. What is one to do?
The thing is, I have been watching football for 35 years and this type of hit was always praised.

I'd love to see Clark, Harrison, and Hines before the game in Baltimore putting on the foil.
