1. Ok, Batch starts his first game in years. I tell you that the first thing he does is throw a pick. Then I tell you that one of the last things he does is throw a pick. What do you think happens in between?

2. I don’t know about what you guys saw but our game got sent over to Giants-Titans due to technical difficulties for the first couple of minutes. That is sheer torture. You don't want to watch because not only is it NOT the Steelers, it is the Titans ... but you must watch because by all that is holy and right in the world you know that this disgrace cannot endure. In the end all was set to rights and faith in a loving God was restored. But for a few minutes there ...

3. The Bucs were running well early on. I wonder if they thought that Dick LeBeau would tolerate that for the rest of the game.

4. The Steelers gave the Bucs three points. The Bucs earned another three (convincingly) with that long drive in the first quarter. And that was it for them. Consider that the Steelers almost tied the Bucs total point output on their PATs (points after touchdowns) alone.

5. After Wallace’s 2nd big TD Steve Tasker quipped: "It sounds like downtown Pittsburgh". He was right. I’ll bet the Bucs fans were all pissy about the Steelers fans taking over their crappy stadium.

I call this one: Herp the Bucs

6. Loved to hear about James Harrison’s “I am not a great linebacker” comment. You have to love a linebacker with talent, hunger and enough of a head on his shoulders to realize that if he is seeing farther than those before him it is due to the fact that he is standing on the shoulders of giants.

7. It was hard to fault the Steelers for attempting that 4th and 2. An entirely reasonable play based on the Bucs offensive ineptitude.

Like, CHEER!

8. Ziggy Hood sighting ... making a heads up play that almost turned into pick 6. Almost. Keep trying Ziggy but that clock is right at about 14:50 at the moment.

9. At one point in the 3rd quarter you could hear the crowd begin to roar just as the broadcast cut to commercial … scrum on the field yields a 15 yard penalty and we missed it to watch that dopey baseball fan talk about “$50 in my pocket” for State Farm. I feel cheated.
GIS for "50 bucks in my pocket" yeilds ...

10. What have they been feeding Jeff Reed lately? All of a sudden his kick-offs seem to be sailing into the endzone with regularity.

11. If Batch knew Keisel could catch he would have had him on the receiving squad.

12. Quote of the game (Tasker): “Gay lays the wood on him”. Huh huh … huh huh …

13. Pretty funny to hear the roar of the crowd as Troy P “intercepts” the Bucs from the bench. Even pulling him out of the game isn’t enough to keep him from impacting it.

14. It was obvious that the Bucs gave up with about 10 minutes to go.

15. Batch threw that second pick ... I was thinking, “Oh drat. That will affect his QB rating.” But its not all bad because then you get to watch the Steelers D slap the Bucs around some more.

16. Blount, with some massive second effort, gets in on 4th and goal against the Steelers second team defense. Good for him. Of course the Bucs earned an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty immediately afterwards.

17. This game was all about the roar of the crowd … listening to the crowd as Charlie takes the knee makes you appreciate the power of Steeler Nation. Its breadth and its dispersion is truly unrivalled.

18. To carry-over from last week: What have the Steelers done so far? Nothing. The Bucs are not that good either. And whereas it is wonderful to have the Steelers at 3-0 without their star QB (old whatshisface) 2 of those wins are against NFC teams.

19. What is intriguing about this team is how much of a difference Troy P playing this year is making for the Steelers as opposed to how much of a difference whatshisface's presence may have on the offense in this year. From where I sit it looks like Troy Polamalu is bigger bang for the buck than Ben!

My favorite was hearing the "Here We Go Steelers" chant during the second half.

The one thing I don't get about the traveling Steeler Nation is they always seem to be loud when our O is on the field. It should be the other way around. CMon Steeler Nation. Be so loud that the home team has to take a TO cause they can't hear.

^^ this. I noticed it ad it came through pretty clear on TV. And it was embarrasing for Tampa top say the least.
