Running back Antonio Pittman worked out for the Steelers this morning at their indoor facility. Pittman played at Ohio State and was drafted in the fourth round by New Orleans in 2007. However, the Saints released him Sept. 1.

St. Louis claimed him off waivers and he played as a reserve back for the Rams in 2007 and 2008. They released him at the start of 2009.

Wonder what that's all about?

Interesting. Has someone contacted the Steelers about Moore? I like Moore but his competition is coming on fast. Perhaps a trade? I not sure if Pittman is eligible for the PS but he would be a great scout back. Good simulation for Johnson. Hmm...

Yuck. I don't want Pittman. I'd rather have Justin Vincent.

This confuses me. I can't figure out why we would do that...

The only possiblity I can imagine is they feel M. Moore has lost a step and need to replace him or Dwyer has ticked them off again......Still very weird

Competition never hurts...bring him in, see if he has something to offer. Let's be honest- if Mendy gets hurt- the Steelers need to know they have a stable of RB's they can rely on- at this point- not overly confident they do.

If Mendy gets hurt, the answer is not Antonio Pittman.

Pittman was pathetic at OSU. I have no idea why he was drafted as highly as he was drafted.

I think this is likely a due diligence type of thing. Work out some of the available FAs so you know what is out there in case you deal with an injury.
