Seven members of the Green Bay Packers were questioned Saturday in connection with an alleged sexual assault on two women at a popular resort in Wisconsin, Fox 11 reported.

The alleged victims claim that one of the players sexually assaulted them after inviting the two to a rental condominium at the Wilderness Resort in Lake Delton, Wis., where the seven players were staying for a charity golf tournament on Friday.

The two women, ages 31 and 33, reportedly placed 911 calls at 4:17 a.m. on Saturday from the resort, approximately 50 miles north of Madison.

Lake Delton Police Chief Thomas Dorner said all seven players were taken to the police department for questioning, according to Fox 11. Six of the team members were later cleared of any alleged wrongdoing, but a seventh player, who Dorner did not identify, is reportedly still under investigation by police. All seven players were released after questioning.

Dorner said the player admitted to having sex with both women but accounts differ on whether it was consensual, the station reported.

Dorner, who described the incident as a "he said, she said" situation, reportedly said the women changed their story, initially telling police that more than one player was involved in the attack.

"When we first initially had contact with the women doing our initial interviews to find out what's going on, to find out what their complaint was, that was the allegation was they were both sexually assaulted at this condominium and there was more than one person involved with the sexual assault," Dorner told Fox 11.

"It's troubling that there would be that difference in recollection as to what happened, which is honestly quite a serious difference in recollection," he said. "I'm not saying there wasn't a sexual assault there, but that is obviously going to cause an issue."

The Packers organization, meanwhile, released a statement late Saturday, saying, "We are aware of the reported incident and still are gathering facts."

i believe Goodell will only hand out a 6-game suspension if there has been a previous offense by that player...Ben unfortunately had his previous offense with McNutty in Tahoe.

in my opinion, Ben's biggest mistake is that he's no longer going out with Missy Peregrym. Missy is gorgeous AND could have kept him out of trouble, allowing that relationship to dissolve was definitely a bad decision by Ben!

Ben excels at making bad decisions off the field, Missy is just another one of them. OTOH, the Packer players should receive something as punishment from Goodell, there seems to be sexual contact for sure, but, the facts have to be evaluated first.

My goodness this Missy woman is SMOKIN!! Yeah, ben shulda just settled on down with her.
We all have to consider that Ben probably sustained some brain damage from the Motorcycle accident and from all the concussions, so we should give some leeway to his stupidity :HeadBanger

How do you know Ben had anything to do with the relationship ending?

Btw, Lake Delton wasn't even there 2 years ago. That huge flood in 2008 (that hit Iowa so hard) caused Lake Delton to overflow its banks. The water washed out the highway that runs right along side the lake and the entire lake drained into an adjacent river.

The area is just starting to recover. Major tourist area right near the Wisconsin Dells. This is the last thing they need to happen. Hopefully it turns out these women were just out for the good time then decided they could make some $$$.

People are already screaming that if a six-game suspension isn't handed out in the Packers' case, then that's proof there's a conspiracy against the Steelers. As hawaiiansteel said, Ben got hit hard because it was his second "offense." He didn't get any suspension after the McNutty accusation last year. So to be fair and consistent, if no charges are filed, there should be no suspension.

And it pains me to defend Goodell in any way ... I really dislike that guy.

What happened to "Innocent until proven guilty" What happened to "He hasn't Been charged" I guess that only applies to Bens case.

Good post Wallace the voice of reason

How many games did Ben get suspended after the first woman accused him of rape? The answer is zero. That is the same number that these Packer players will get suspended.

Is "Charity Golf Tournament" some sort of code for "Wild Sex Orgy" and why wasn't I informed about it?

Every case is different. To immediately call for the same punishment is short sited.

The accuser(s) changed their story (sound familiar?) so nothing is likely to come of it.
