Teen breaks Cleveland drought, wins Spelling Bee
By JOSEPH WHITE - Associated Press Writer

Who says Cleveland can't win a championship?

The long-suffering sports city - which can't seem to win a trophy on a court or a field - captured one in a hotel ballroom Friday night when 14-year-old Anamika Veeramani took first prize at the 83rd Scripps National Spelling Bee...

By the way, this was in my local paper. More than half the world's population may read, hear, or see news from The Associated Press.

my daughter's boyfriend is from Cleveland and is a Browns fan, so i've been forced to brush up on my Browns jokes:

Q: What do you call 47 millionaires around a TV watching the Super Bowl?
A: The Cleveland Browns.

Q: What do you call a Cleveland Brown with a Super Bowl ring?
A: A thief.

Q: Why doesn't Columbus Ohio have a professional football team?
A: Because then Cleveland would want one.

Q: How many Browns does it take to win a Super Bowl?
A: Nobody knows and we may never find out.

Since we are starting jokes on Ohio cities. . . .

Why doesn't Cleveland slip off into the great lakes? Because Cincinnati sucks.

Why doesn't Cincinatti slip off into the Greal Lakes with Cleveland? Cause Cleveland blows.

A child was in court during a custody case. The judge asked, "do you want to stay with your mother?" The boy answered "no!" "She beats me." Then judge instantly has the mother arrested, then says, "How about your father?" The boy says, "No, He beats me to!" The judge has him arrested, then looks to the boy. "Well, where do you want to go now?" The boy looked up and said, "The Cleveland Browns, they can't beat anybody."

Two Cleveland Browns were seen on a train reading. (There's no joke there, just a statement of fact. A few of em actually can read).

"If its Brown, flush it down"

Q: What do the Cleveland Browns and the Pope have in common?
A: They both can make 70,000 people stand up and yell "Jesus Christ."

Q: How do you keep a Cleveland Brown out of your yard?
A: Put up goal posts.

Q: Where do you go in Ohio in case of a tornado?
A: To the Browns Stadium- you never see a touchdown there.

Q: What's the difference between the Browns and a dollar bill?
A: You can still get four quarters out of a dollar bill.

Q: What do the Cleveland Browns and possums have in common?
A: Both play dead at home and get killed on the road

Not me. I'd rather they had another over hyped player who can't win sh!t. I love how they always blame it on the fact that he doesn't have any good players around him. whatever. Most overrated player in NBA history. Squire James can stay there forever for all i care, they can overpay him and continue to be ALMOST as good as the elite teams in the NBA.

BTW, every king I've ever seen has had TONS of RINGS. Not just some fake plastic chair on the set at ESPN.
