I somehow have missed this, but Pouncey has a twin coming out next year who is also a beast. Expected by RookieDraft.com to go late in round 1. Maybe we keep Maurice at RG and bring this kid for C since we'll be drafting much later that they predict.

31. Indianapolis Colts: Mike Pouncey - C - Florida

“Hey wait a minute!” No, this is no mistake, this is the twin brother of Maurkice Pouncey and he’s also a beast. The Colts want to get more physical up front and run the ball better. While there are other needs to address, Pouncey will help set the tone up front and offer a future replacement for Jeff Saturday that can play guard in the meantime.

This may be a moon landing situation, but not for me. Surely there are others here that have missed it.

Throughout peewee, high school, and college, Maurkice has been the center, and his identical twin brother Mike played RG next to him. So if we were to draft Mike next year as well, Mike would be the RG, and Maurkice would be the C. Part of the reason that Maurkice decided to come out early is to allow his brother Mike to be able to move over to C to show NFL teams that he is versatile enough to play guard or center, thereby improving his draft stock.

that was nice of him. I frankly would have gone pro for the straight cash.
lol

Doesn't matter to me who plays where, but I guess it would be a stretch to use the no.1 pick on interior OL 2 years in a row.

Yeah, but twins that have played together for so long already and already know each other's tendencies and how to work together could be doubly beneficial (like the Sedin twins in Vancouver...the Canucks traded Bryan McCabe and a future 1st round pick in order to give them back-to-back picks 2nd and 3rd overall and get Henrik and Daniel).

Agreed...having twin brothers play beside each other would be optimal and is my early 2011 first round prediction. Unless someone really steps up on the OL and surprises me this season we will need another high round interior lineman and I know Maurkice will get alot of face time with the coaches about his brother.

Almost as odd as Harrison and Tomlinn rolling around Latrobe in a Smart Car.

I passed a smart car the other day on my bike and felt smarter.

Maybe we could get Mike Pouncey into a uniform and slip him into games unnoticed. You know, get a little more depth that way.

That would be uber-cool imo, having twins at C and RG. Daniel and Henrik Sedin anybody?

They were supposed to be the new "DoubleMint twins".

Wisely, Wrigley came to their senses and decided 600 pounds of fat olinemen on a tiny moped does not have the same appeal as the original.
