Itís not often you see a future Hall-of-Famer walking around and that guy wearing a Bengalsí cap at Fridayís rookie practice turned out to be former Steelers center Dermontti Dawson.

Dawson, a top ten Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist this past year who retired in 2000 after 13 seasons, is a coaching intern and is going to work with the Bengals offensive line this spring and at training camp. He laughed when someone told him he never thought he would see Dawson in a Bengalsí cap.

ďAny team Iím with, thatís who Iím with. Itís great,Ē said Dawson, who worked with Steelers last training campÖ.

Makes sense then.

I love seeing old great players doing coaching jobs, regardless of the team. Ken Anderson with you guys last season, Tim Krumrie with the Chiefs recently...

He does...Dawson lives about 20 minutes north of me. He has developed alot of real estate in my area. I really enjoy the cigar lounge in his strip mall...very nice.

Nice to see Dawson still around the game. I just wish that he was in Pittsburgh working with Pouncey.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm??? So much for a new weapon. As unstable a franchise as the Bengals have always been.....not surprized.

I updated the link. Ever since the Bengals updated their website, whenever an existing article gets updated the random number at the end of the link gets updated as well. So it breaks links.

Some Bengal Bloggers like CincyJungle have been complaining about that for a while. It seems to be standard software for a lot of NFL sites now though. I know the Jags site is similar...

I could have gone the rest of my life without knowing that. :HeadBanger

Do they still have that giant billboard of Palmer deep throating a sausage? I was thinking about sending my gf up there to train with him.. like that scene in Old School where Andy D1ck is teaching Will Farrells wife and friends how to do it...
